hc moonshadow elves are primarily nocturnal and have light sensitive eyes. ethari is used to staying up during the day more often bc of living with two assassins. it's why bait works so well against them, the blinding flash that hurts us humans is worse for moonshadows. and why the silvergrove is so gloomy. they can probably see colors humans and more diurnal elves can't tho. the full moon to them literally is as bright as a noon sun for us, and the sun for them is well mostly painful.

like other elves with some superficial changes, like fin ears and webbed fingers and toes. they use runes to make merm tails. other theory is they have merm tails all the time and have to use runes to make legs. third is that they are all just really damn huge, like the size of ponyo's mom.
