PULLING ALL-NIGHT SHIFTS WERE ALWAYS EXHAUSTING, though they were much more ENJOYABLE with company. There wasn’t company any better than ARTEMIS herself  — She gave another perspective ENTIRELY. It was strange... at first. Peter never thought he’d be STOPPING CRIMES with the woman he loves — yet here he was, CHERISHING the brief moment of tranquillity with her. The city was a DEMANDING creature; MERCILESS & UNFORGIVING. Whenever it beckoned, its hero ALWAYS answered the call. It didn’t leave much time for PETER PARKER to further his life — though that didn’t seem to be the problem anymore. Now, HIS PARTNER fought with him.  Normally, he’d try to find one moment to rest IMMEDIATELY. But now, he didn’t want to lose another second with her. His head tilted to rest upon hers  — TWO SOULS giving each other the strength to keep going. His lenses shifted as he took in the view before them. Yet it wasn’t as beautiful as the view RIGHT BESIDE HIM. His lips parted to release an exhausted yawn, one hand moving to curl itself within hers. ❛ Hey... We’ve almost made it. A few more minutes and we’ll see the sunrise. What time does the coffee shop open again? ❜

when the lights turn on he hasn’t moved from where he’d dropped into the chair in the corner of her room, staring at the wall.  he blinks once, twice in the brightness of it, and turns a hollow smile to her.  ❛ hey. ❜ good start.  he’s still got his mask on, makes no move to take it off.  ❛ sorry for...y’know. ❜
