The Money Shot. . I suppose this picture might give a new meaning to the term, the money shot—and one that I’m not so happy about! . For anyone that’s been here they know parking can be quite hectic as the space is quite small. So when I arrived, I grabbed the first spot that came available, which in my case was the very far end of the lot (first spot when entering the parking area). I was right at the edge of the parking lot, which was elevated about a foot from the ground below. . I grabbed a few shot of the frozen waterfall, and made my way back to my car only to find someone else had parked directly behind me, essentially blocking my way out. . The only way I could get out was to carefully maneuver my way around the vehicle behind me and out to the side. . Knowing I was right next to edge of the lot, I knew I couldn’t turn my wheels too much as I’d risk the drop down to the ground. So inch but inch I carefully turned the wheel and reversed, trying my best to steer clear of the car behind me. . I guess an inch must have been too much as I suddenly felt a drop and heard a loud crunch. I knew exactly what happened. I got out to confirm that my front wheel had gone off the curb and the front of my car was now resting on the underside of my vehicle. . Thankfully I only had to wait about an hour for the tow truck to come by as that day was pretty hectic for tow operators. . They raised the front of my car and pulled me out—by that time the car behind me had left. . Moral of the story: don’t park on the edge of any elevated parking lot! .
