I want to hear from you...
As i posted recently about Tidal, the new artist owned music and video streaming service, and since then i have been wondering how people have been getting on with it.
Have you subscribed? Have you had any particularly good or bad experiences with the programme? Have you found any differences between Tidal and current streaming services such as Spotify and YouTube and what are they?
I want to hear about your experiences with Tidal so far...so get in touch and let me know!

TIDAL (www.tidal.com)
So this happened today, the presentation of a new service titled 'Tidal'. Tidal is a streaming, music and entertainment service that is owned and run by artists themselves. The signing of the declaration was done today and included the signatures of all the artists taking part in this project. These artists are: Alicia Keys, Win Butler and Régine Chassagne from Arcade Fire, Beyoncé, Calvin Harris, Chris Martin from Coldplay, Daft Punk, Jack White, Jason Aldean, J. Cole, Jay Z, Kanye West, Deadmaus, Madonna, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Usher. They say that 'Tidal puts the power back into the artists hands' and is effectively going to turn technology on it's head and make music a human art again. Snippets of meetings on the video released on Tidal.com have voice recordings from the artists telling their viewpoint and in Beyoncé's words 'we really do have the opportunity to change the way that we all experience art'. Big names, big ideas and something that has never been done before..I'm definitely intrigued and also excited that if the product lives up to the plans/ experience they have in mind for it, it could be a great step for the music industry and for artists. There is a free trial but from what I have understood you do have to subscribe to the service. This is no different from paying spotify to make the service advert free but in the presentation video it explains that there are many more perks to be had from signing up. Take a look at the website at http://tidal.com/us , press play to watch the signing and information video...it is worth the watch, and make up your mind for yourself. The future of music and music consumption? I guess we will see! Soundfrom x
