Lee: Hiro
Ler: Tadashi
Summary: Hiro has been juicing every idea possible from his brain for the college expo. Wanting to save his brother from his raisin-brain fate, Tadashi employs some tried and true methods to make him relax.
Warnings: none! This is a tickle fic, so if you don't like that, scroll away!!
“Stupid brain! Why. Won't. You. WORK?!”
Hiro groaned as he bumped his forehead off the desk, unknowingly smearing the graphite from his latest failed sketch into his forehead.
The boy was at his limit. He'd been working for hours to try and think up a show-stipping invention, but his brain was fried. A pounding headache banged at his temples like it was trying to escape from his head, and he was tempted to help it. Maybe a good idea would fall out with the rest of his sanity.
Wow, I need some caffeine.
As if he could hear his brother's thoughts, Tadashi came in with two mugs, a Boston cream, and a knowing smile. “Hey, stink.”
“Gimme that.”
Hiro doesn't even bother greeting him back, rolling his chair over to snatch the mug. He immediately chugged the warm liquid, surprised when it didn't burn him. Tadashi must’ve foreseen his eagerness and let the drinks cool before bringing them up.
“Jeez, Hiro, did you taste it?” Tadashi chuckled, but there was an undertone of concern in his words. The bags under his brother's eyes looked more like bruises, and his hair obviously hadn't been brushed that morning…or maybe the ones before that.
“Whatever. I need the fuel.” Hiro dismissed his comment, fully zoned in on the empty piece of paper in front of him. Well…as zoned in as a sleep-deprived, slightly burnt-out, mentally drained teenager could be.
“Hmm. Good thing I made decaf.” Tadashi dropped that mini-bomb, smirking at the indignant squawk he got in response.
“Seriously?! Tadashi, I need to focus! The expo is really important, I've got nothing so far, and half the other entries already have prototypes in the works!”
Damn it, Tadashi had told Hiro to stay off the social tags for the expo. “You know comparing yourself to other participants is just gonna mess with your head, right?”
“Maybe I need it messed with. It's obviously not working right.” Hiro snacked the paper, a bit of emotion creeping into his voice. He sounded so tired...
Nope. Intervention time.
“Okay, that's it. C'mere.” Tadashi came up behind Hiro, lifting the boy out of his chair and into the air.
“What the— Put me down! Tadashi!” He kicked and squirmed in his brother's arms, flailing uselessly. His head spun slightly from the change in position, not used to being out of his chair.
“Nope. You're going to relax, and that's final.” Tadashi flopped down on his bed, keeping Hiro trapped in his lap. His hands moved to the boy’s sides, waiting for realization to hit.
“This is dumb! You can't just—” Hiro cut himself off with a squeak as Tadashi’s fingers gently drummed against his sides.
No, no, nonono NO!
“Come on, don't! I have work to do, and I'm not ten anymore!”
Tadashi smirked, ever-so-slightly wiggling his fingers. “You're still my baby brother, Hiro. As your elder, I have to save you from yourself. Rules are rules.”
Before Hiro could question what rules he was talking about, Tadashi struck. His fingers gently dug into the young teen’s sides, teasing the spot just beneath his little brother's ribcage.
As expected, Hiro lost it. Giddy giggles escaped the teen as he tried to wriggle out of his brother's grasp. “Tadahahashi! Quihihihit!”
“Nah, I don't think I will.” Tadashi’s fingers crawled upwards as he spoke, wiggling into Hiro’s ribs.
“GEHEHET OHOFF!” Hiro’s giggles quickly rose to belly laughter as his ribs were targeted. He squirmed and kicked, banging his fists on his brother's arms in an attempt to escape. He wasn't hurting the man; he just needed to do something.
“Not until you promise to rest. Your brain needs a break.” To emphasize that point, one of Tadashi's hands moved beneath Hiro's chin, gently tickling him there. “You can't come up with your amazing idea if you're burnt out.”
Hiro whined and kicked his feet as his chin was targeted, acting like a child. “I HAHAHATE YOUHUHU!”
“No, you don't,” Tadashi grinned, knowing that spot was a gold mine. The hand on Hiro's ribs moved back to his side, tickling in tandem with the one beneath his chin.
Hiro's laughter faded to squeaky giggles as the tickling grew gentler. He knew his face was burning, and he couldn't stop kicking his feet. Exhaustion was starting to settle in as well, making it harder to keep fighting against the tickly attack.
“Plehehease!” Hiro whined. The teen slumped against his brother's chest, giving up on escape. His lack of rest was catching up with him.
“You gonna take a nap and eat something?” Tadashi quirked a brow, swiping his fingers along Hiro's stomach. It wasn't a super bad spot, but it did make him squeak.
“Y-yehes! Tadahashi!”
The moment Hiro agreed, the tickling ceased. He took a moment to catch his breath, going limp in his brother's arms.
Tadashi shook his head affectionately, rubbing Hiro’s sides to try and soothe any phantom sensations. “You're such a dork.”
“Says you,” Hiro grumbled, snuggling into Tadashi's chest. He was tired, and his brother was like a living space heater. They were already in a bed, and he was exhausted; a nap wouldn't hurt.
“Hmm, fair.”
Tadashi ran his fingers through Hiro's hair, watching as he slowly slipped towards unconsciousness. He pulled the teen closer for a hug, tugging the blankets over them.
“Get some rest. I'll help Cass make your favorite tonight, maybe swipe some donuts from the café.”
“Mmph. Thanks.”
“Anytime, dork.”
