The Hashira had gathered for a costume party, each more elaborate than the last. But the moment Zenitsu saw Inosuke in a full boar costume, he couldn’t resist.

“Boar-boy!! Hahaha, your sides look ticklish!!” Zenitsu shouted, fingers already darting under Inosuke’s arms.

Inosuke squealed, trying to shove him off. “W-wait!! Hahaha! I’ll get you back!!”

Soon, Tanjiro and Nezuko were dragged in, and Genya found himself pinned by Sanemi as fingers poked, prodded, and danced across every ticklish spot imaginable.

Chaos erupted: swords forgotten, laughter echoing through the hall. Shinobu tried to maintain grace but ended up squealing as someone discovered her weak spot at the ribs.

It was a beautiful day in Green Hill Zone. The sun was shining and the wind was gently blowing on the horizon. Somewhere around there, a black furred anthropomorphic hedgehog was strolling along. This hedgehog was well known as Shadow The Hedgehog, who was created on the Space Colony ARK. Shadow was heading home from a G.U.N. mission that he, Rouge and Omega, the other members of Team Dark, went on.

“Ahhh, what a long day. Glad all that’s over. Now, I can finally get some rest.”

He soon reached his destination. His house was a pretty big and fancy house, perfect for the Ultimate Lifeform. He put his hand on the doorknob, turned it and opened the door slowly. When he walked in, the room was pitch black. It was quite odd, even for him.

“Uhh, why’s it so dark in here? I’m just gonna turn on the light.”

He manages to find a light switch in the pitch black darkness and flips it on. Then suddenly…

“SURPRISE!”

A whole group of voices shouted and confetti flew into the air. Shadow was jumpscared by this and he looked towards the direction to where it was coming from. He was surprised to see Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, Cream and Silver all standing there with happy looks on their faces, throwing confetti and blowing noisemakers.

“Happy birthday Shadow!”

They all shouted. Shadow was just flabbergasted.

“Huh? Wh-what is this?”

The room was also filled with balloons and streamers and a few party games in random places. Sonic ran over to him, wearing a black and red striped party hat, like everyone else was. He puts a black and red striped party hat on Shadow.

“Hey, happy birthday Shads!”

Tails flew on over.

“We thought that we would throw a special birthday party for you!”

Amy Rose chimed in.

“It took a little bit of convincing for some of us, but this will be worth it! And yes, I’m talking about you Knuckles.”

Knuckles was put on the spot. He raised his fists up.

“Come on Amy, I was unsure OK?”

Rouge flew over to Shadow.

“Here Shadow, wear this.”

She places a red ribbon on his chest that had “Ultimate Birthday Boy” printed on it.

Shadow sighs as Rouge chuckles.

“Oh, real funny Rouge…”

“Isn’t this cool?”

Sonic asked him. Shadow was unsure.

“I…I’m just not used to this. No one has ever thrown me a birthday party before.”

Sonic puts his hand on Shadow’s shoulder.

“Don’t worry, we’ll make sure that you have a great time.”

Cream and Cheese approached Shadow.

“Of course! We like to see you having fun!”

Cream said.

“Chao chao!”

Cheese happily said back.

Shadow was slightly glad that Cream was here. He thought for a moment.

“Hmph. Fine. I’ll let you do this for me. But don’t you let me play any ridiculous child games.”

Silver chuckled.

“Oh, we won’t. It’s all gonna be big boy games.”

Shadow gave a slightly annoyed expression.

“Do me a favour and never say that again. If you do, I’ll kick you in the back of the head again.”

“OK, OK, fine! Geez! You don’t have to be so grumpy all the time!”

Silver said.

“Now let’s get this party started!”

Sonic blows a noisemaker on Shadow’s face, causing him to swat it away with a “Ah!” noise. Sonic chuckles.

“Sorry, I had to.”

The gang all started playing various party games like Ring Toss, Pin The Tail On The Donkey, Musical Chairs, Simon Says, some Just Dance, and even a game that they called Storytime Freeze, where they would make up a story, but they would pause at various dramatic moments, and everyone else has to put some random twists into the story. That was probably the funniest game because of Shadow’s ideas.

“‘The hedgehog was at his limit. The giant frog was about to eat him.’ So what should the hedgehog do?”

Sonic said.

“He finds a HUGE gun, and I mean, HUGE GUN, and he shoots down the giant frog and eats him whole. Don’t ask me how he managed to do that.”

Shadow said. Sonic was surprised at this, but it was expected from an edgy hedgy like Shadow.

“OK then…”

Later, Sonic had gathered everyone around.

“Are we having cake yet?”

Tails asked.

“Oh no, not yet, but it’s now time for a special game that involves everyone!”

Amy was interested.

“Ooh, I wonder what that is!”

Sonic walks over to Shadow.

“So…”

He suddenly placed his hands on Shadow’s sides, making Shadow let out a high pitched squeak.

“You ready Shads?”

“Wait, what?”

Shadow said, his voice slightly shaky.

“3…2…1…TICKLE FIGHT!”

Sonic shouted out and began tickling Shadow’s sides. Shadow began letting out some cute giggles.

“Hehehehe! Hehehehey! Sohonic! Stop it! Ahahaha!”

“Ooh, I didn’t know Shadow was ticklish! I wanna help you!”

Rouge began tickling Shadow too.

“Ah! Hehehehey! Rouge! Nohot you tohohohoo! Stahahahap it!”

Soon enough, everyone else was tickling Shadow. He had fully broken now.

“AHAHAHAHA! CUHUHUT IT OUT! WHYHYHY ARE YOHOU DOING THIHIHIS TO MEHEHEHEHEEEEEE?”

Knuckles soon gave a smirk.

“You know Sonic, this IS called a tickle fight for a reason…”

Sonic gave a sheepish look.

“Wh-what do you mean?”

Knuckles pounced on Sonic and began tickling his belly.

“Ahahaha! Knuhuhuckles! Thahahahat tihihickles!”

Sonic giggled out.

“Get over hehere!”

Sonic managed to place his wiggling fingers on Knuckles’ underarms.

“Gahahaha! Nohoho!”

Soon after, everyone was tickling each other in goofy ways. It was the Ultimate Tickle War. Tails was tickling Cream.

“Ehehehe! Mr Tails! Hehehehehe!”

“I told you these tails were super fluffy!”

Amy was tickling Silver.

“AHAHAHA! Amyhyhyhy! Nohohot thehehehere!”

“Wow, your belly is super fluffy! I could tickle it forever!”

“Pl-plehehehease don’t!”

Meanwhile, Rouge was still tickling Shadow.

“ROUGE! AHAHAHA! I WIHILL-*gasp!* I WILL DEHESTROHOHOHOY YOHOHOU!”

“I’d like to see you try edgy boy~”

Even Cheese was involved with the whole tickling mess, helping Cream out by tickling Tails’ cheeks. After about a few more minutes of the air being filled with laughter and pleas, Sonic thought that this was a good time for the Tickle War to end.

“OK! OK guys! Yohou can ahahall stop!”

He said, still giggling from being tickled by Tails now. Once Sonic announced this, everyone stopped. Shadow had been tickled by Rouge the whole time, and even when he did try to retaliate, he still ended up becoming a giggling mess. Everyone was panting, especially Shadow, who had been tickled the most as he’s the birthday boy.

“*pant….pant….* Don’t tell me…you do this…at every birthday…”

Sonic chuckled.

“Oh no, we won’t do this on EVERY birthday. But that was fun wasn’t it Shadow?”

Shadow gave a groan.

“Only the slightest…it’s embarrassing when you hear me laugh…”

Tails walked towards a tired out Shadow.

“Are you OK Shadow?”

Shadow gave an annoyed glare.

“Stay out of this fox boy.”

Tails nervously stepped back. Sonic gave a nervous look.

“Uhh, anyways time for cake!”

Shadow perked up at this.

“Wait, there’s cake involved?”

Amy nodded.

“Yep! I baked the cake myself.”

Shadow gave a gentle sigh and looked off to the side.

“Well, I am a little bit peckish after that…”

After about a few seconds, Amy brings in a vanilla cake with icing that looked like Shadow floating in space. Shadow looked pretty impressed by the design. He had never seen cakes made like that before. The cake had 4 black and red candles on it. (He’s not turning 4 BTW) They were all lit.

“Alright, 1…2…3.”

Sonic counted before everyone started singing.

“🎶 Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you,

happy birthday dear Shadow, happy birthday to you~🎶”

Shadow looked like he was about to cry from the intense amount of kindness for him. He sniffled.

“Th-thank you…”

Everyone giggled a bit at this.

“So Shadow, do you have any birthday wishes?”

Silver asked him. Shadow thought for a moment before thinking of something. He said it in his mind.

“I wish that I would be able to find a light to the darkness within me. I wish that I have more people that support me. And I wish that I’ll find the dang fourth Chaos Emerald.”

He gave a smile once he finished making the wish in his mind.

“There you go. I wished.”

“Now blow out the candles Shadow!”

Cream happily said.

“Chao!”

Cheese chimed in. Shadow gave a “hmph” sound and a nod before gently blowing on the candles, putting them out. Everyone cheered.

“Alright! Now let’s have some cake!”

Knuckles said. Amy cut the cake into equal slices for everyone and put them on plastic plates. She put a slice on Shadow’s plate.

“Wait, do you want me to…eat this?”

Shadow asked. Amy giggled.

“Of course silly! Go ahead! Try it!”

Amy said. Shadow gently cut off a piece of it with his plastic fork and ate it. He froze for about a few seconds.

“So, do you like it?”

Amy asked, happily waiting for an answer. Shadow waited a few seconds, before swallowing his piece. After about 2 more seconds, he finally replied.

“This is…really good.”

Amy happily giggled.

“I’m glad you like it birthday boy!”

Shadow was starting to become flustered by the birthday boy nickname, but he didn’t mind it too much.

“I’ll gladly eat the rest of this.”

And with that, Shadow continued eating the rest of his slice of cake.

After about a few more minutes of eating, the sun was finally setting on the horizon, and it was time for everyone to leave. Everyone said goodbye to Shadow as they walked out the door. Sonic was the last one to say goodbye.

“Ehh, you know Shadow, I have something that I wanted to tell you for a while.”

Shadow gave a slightly puzzled look.

“Spill it out hedgehog.”

Sonic hesitated for a second before speaking.

“I…actually kinda like you. I mean, you’re actually really cool and stuff. Cause even though you’re really grumpy and edgy all the time, you actually have a heart. Cause…we wouldn’t be here if you had no innocence. Like, we would all literally be kicked out of the party once we surprised you if you didn’t have a heart. And because of that, I respect you.”

Shadow was shocked at those words.

“Wait…really? I…I never thought that you’d say that until now.”

Sonic nodded.

“Yeah. It’s kinda strange after what we’ve been through. And honestly, our relationship is sorta like a brotherly bond. We tend to fight occasionally, but we can use teamwork to accomplish the toughest of battles.”

Shadow gave a smirk, holding in a chuckle.

“I guess it kinda is like that if you compare it that way.”

“Not saying we are brothers of course. We’re not even biologically related.”

Shadow crossed his arms.

“Yeah, there’s no way.”

“Hey Sonic! You coming?”

Sonic heard Tails yelling from outside.

“Oh, I gotta go now. Tails is waiting for me. Bye Shads! And uh…happy birthday.”

Sonic then gave him a wrapped up box, ran out the door and closed it. Shadow gave a wave.

“Bye.”

Shadow was surprised at the box that he was holding. There was a tag that said “To Shadow, from everyone”. Curiously, he slowly opened it up, and inside it was a drawing of everyone around Shadow, and Shadow was smiling. At the top of the drawing was text that said “Best Ultimate Lifeform”. Shadow gave a smile at the picture and proceeded to frame it. And just like that, the moon had already rose up. Shadow stared at the window for a moment. He thought about something for a few seconds before giving a smile.

“I guess…that was a pretty good party. I never thought it would happen to me. And even though Sonic was there, I…I enjoyed it.”

Shadow took off his party hat and his “Ultimate Birthday Boy” ribbon. He gave another look at the ribbon and gave a small giggle. He set them both on the table. Shadow then gave a large yawn.

“I guess it’s time for me to take a Chaos nap now.”

He slowly walked upstairs into his room and tucked himself into the blankets. Just before he turned off the lamp that was next to him, he whispered…

“Thank you for the Ultimate party.”

And just like that, he turned off the light.

Aw. Not exactly true, but cute enough!

Amity should’ve seen it coming, she’d gotten sloppy, she knew it. She’d been sitting on Emira’s forearms just a moment ago, having successfully tricked and tackled her with the help of her older brother. Edric’d been straddling her waist, tickling wildly up and down her sides. Amity’d had both hands in her armpits. Neither of them had a view of Emira’s hands, and she was skilled in using magic under this type of duress.

After a quick stunning spell, she’d collected herself quickly, glaring between her siblings. “I hope you know… This means war.” Emira declared, lunging after her twin brother and younger sister.

“No! Waitwaitwait- it was Amity’s ideHEHEHEA!” Ed screamed as Emira caught him around the waist and began tickling him with the same arm.

“Ed! What the heck, dude! Not cool!” Amity scolded him as she sprang out of the way of Emira’s arm.

“WAHAHAHA– NO! DOHOHON’T LEHEHEAVE ME!” Edric wailed as Amity sped away and Emira focused both hands entirely on tickling him to pieces. “AHAHAMITY!”

Amity sped out of the twins room and back to her own, starting to conjure an abomination or two for her own defense once they inevitably teamed up and came after her. She heaved a few nervous breaths and steeled herself.

It was only another minute or two before the door was thrown open and her sibling sped back, headlong, into a dangerously ticklish battlefield.

“Wednesday just got back from studying with her best friend Enid and was heading back to her dorm room then all of a sudden she heard crying next door so she went to see where is was coming from. She opened the door to Xavier and Rowan’s dorm seeing Rowan on his bed crying, “Rowan why are you crying?” Go away Wednesday, he said. She then sat down on the bed, Tears won’t solve anything you and I know that so please tell me what’s wrong, she told him. It’s the nightshades I was kicked out, yes Rowan they told me, tell you what you and I are going to get revenge on them tonight, revenge how? Rowan asked, Thing and I will help you out got it? Thanks Wednesday I owe you one then she was gone.”

“Once nightfall hit Wednesday helped Rowan get revenge, she went to the doors of Ajax, Xavier, and Bianca Thing tossed the letters next to they’re doors “Come on Wednesday” Rowan said quietly then he Wednesday and Thing hurried downstairs to the library before they got caught. Wednesday and Rowan waited patiently until they heard footsteps coming downstairs it was Xavier, Ajax and Bianca, “Well well well if it isn’t my former nightshade buds” Rowan said pushing them against the wall and using his telekinesis to tie all 3 of them up in the ropes that Wednesday and Thing got from their dorm, “Hey!” Bianca yelled “Let us go!” Xavier said, “Not a chance, not after you betrayed me!” Rowan told them angrily, I was once one of you guys you realize that but then you treated me as if I wasn’t good enough to fit in, “The real reason why we kicked you out was because you’re powers were becoming more dangerous and we couldn’t let you harm anyone in our society it was for a safety reason” Bianca said, “Don’t lie Bianca” Rowan told her, “She’s not lying Rowan! It’s true!” Xavier told him. I only wanted to be accepted and to be one of you guys but no! Was that too much to ask?! Rowan yelled angrily, “Rowan!
