I just flew back from Washington yesterday, and I have to say, I was extremely sad to have to leave. Not only did I finally get to meet my closest of friends face to face and hug the absolute hell out of them, but I pushed myself to do many things I never thought I’d be able to. 

First of all, Sakuracon was absolutely amazing, and probably the most fun I can ever remember having. Everyone I met was so passionate, sweet and ridiculously fun. I’ve always considered myself to be socially awkward, and afraid of large crowds and any event where I could have a spotlight. This weekend was something else, almost magical. I came out of my shell in ways I didn’t know I could, and I never felt any ounce of regret doing it. I’m extremely happy that I chose to cosplay Papyrus for my very first con, he’s such a sweet and honest character and the entire Undertale fandom in-general is just so wonderful. All of this made it so much easier for me to feel comfortable in doing something I never thought I’d have the chance to. 

Not to mention, I got to meet and interact with more than one senpai, and that alone was an amazing opportunity. 

@kyleehenke Meeting her felt almost so casual, to the point where I didn’t even recognize I’d interacted with her until a few minutes after. Your charisma is contagious! Thank you for letting me hold your smol Sans for the photo shoot, darlin’! It was an absolute blast!

@miikpah Is an artist I’ve also admired for a while now, and meeting them in person was nothing short of incredible. Not only are they extremely sweet and down to earth, but they were all kinds of fun to interact with and listen to. And with an absolutely fabulous cosplay to boot! Thanks for taking the time to talk with me, hun! Keep ownin’ that spotlight like you do! 

And then the lovely Frisk and Chara that tagged along for some of these adventures - who I’ll tag once I can get their urls. You two were just fantastic people ,and absolute sweethearts. They played a big role in helping me feel welcome, especially when I was wandering around parts of the con alone. Thank you to you both for being as lovely as you are, and remember, stay determined! 

Finally,  @elsk-et​ @tickcot​ I’m lookin’ at you nerds. You two are arguably some of the best friends I can ever recall having. You’re such accepting, loving fun lil buttholes and I’m very lucky to have you as pals. I wish I’d gotten to spend more time in Washington with you two, but hopefully next year I can plan better! Then I can hug you two all I want muHAHAHHAHEHA
