Kiraku is no longer king in my lore.
He was the king. But he’s not anymore.
“My kingdom! Hear me when I say IMPERFECTIONS will no longer be tolerated in my bloodline! I will be sending out parties to slaughter all imperfect children that I have let slip by to live another day. And the source of those imperfect children is no longer seen as fit to rule over you. Kiraku is no longer king and soon, my kingdom, SOON there will be TRUE PERFECTION IN BOTH OF YOUR RULERS!”
Tiapa stood on a balcony overlooking his city. She had called all to gather and they all did out of fear for their lives. Kiraku was sitting in the crowd as always, never permitted to stand next to the queen.
“Finally free?”Life whispered, leaning over.
“Thank the sun...”Kiraku sighed.”I can actually work towards getting her out of power now because we all know you won’t.”
“I’m too busy with other things.”Life stated.”I’m getting old.”
“You’re twenty eight, a master mage and healer, and can grant or strip a dragon of immortality.”Kiraku said.
“I’m almost thirty. That’s still old to me.”
“Dragons, unlike beastclan, live hundreds to even thousands of years. It’s like you forget that.”Kiraku seemed annoyed. Life had a privileged childhood, even back when he was a tundra. He’d been a quick learner and apprentice of the best. Paired with his dedication to his studies of his field of work, he could do many things that common dragons couldn’t.
“I know what we can and cannot do. But have you thought that whatever kills her will be feared more than she is, simply because of their accomplishment?”
“And they’re already afraid. If they knew of what I could do, then I would be able to do nothing. I do my job because I like it. Dragons fear my attitude and what power they see, but they still trust my abilities to heal them.”
“Your reputation is more important than the lives lost to her reign?”
“Yes. If you brought me the bodies, I could have restored them anyway, as you know.”
Kiraku and Life stopped talking as a cold gaze bore into them. Tiapa said nothing. She simply glared at the two and then ended the gathering by heading into her castle.
