I think the 3rd Arcana (The Empress) is pretty self-explanatory, since it’s the Arcana of life and creation, and it suits Dura 100%. But I’ll explain my choice for the 14th (Temperance)--

The 14th Arcana represents the ability to bring opposites together, understand complex processes, and find balance even between things that seem completely incompatible.

Morgan is someone who’s trying to reconcile the irreconcilable: life and death, two literal opposites. That’s why I think the 14th describes both the reasoning behind his actions and the nature of what he does pretty accurately, I guess... His whole thing is understanding the balance between these two forces, experimenting with bringing people back to life and all that (including some forbidden stuff). And apparently, judging by the story, some of those attempts actually worked--

So yeah, that’s why I chose the 14th for him.

The 13th really doesn’t suit him that well, just saying.

And when it comes to their compatibility, Morgan and Dura get the 17th Arcana (The Star), which represents two people who can sometimes have completely opposite interests, yet still fully understand and support each other. It’s one of the strongest kinds of bonds, one built on mutual respect and acceptance, even when there are things about the other person that they themselves don’t fully understand. Literally life and death--

It’s a connection between two people who share the same idea or a higher goal, with a strong sense of mutual admiration between them. I want to draw them with this compatibility later too!! ❤️‍🩹
