49. What are your favorite Mickey characteristics to include and why?

i love to incorporate the softer side of mickey—the grins, the playfulness, the shyness. he’s such a complex character and it annoys me to hell and back when he’s written off like a dumb thug (i can’t think of a better way to say it) when he’s so deeply thoughtful and smart and kind. he’s also incredibly funny and sarcastic, which makes his dialogue pretty entertaining to write most of the time.

50. When writing Mickey, what do you try to avoid?

DRISH they livestreamed together! This was so cute 🥺❤️ And when they talked about it.

“So uh,” Mickey starts, voice suddenly somber and eyes to his food. “Sorry or whatever.” Ian looks up at him, curious. “For what?”

“I dunno. For kinda throwin’ you in there. I don’t know if you wanted it or not.”

“It’s okay,” he says, voice matching Mickey’s tone. “I mean. It’s weird, and I don’t know if I like people talkin’ about me on social media, but.” He shrugs. “It was a lot of fun, and it’s cool, too, y’know. I like doin’ that shit with you.” Fuck. “I mean.”

He drinks more of his pop to shut himself up, not knowing where he would possibly go after the I mean.

Mickey studies his face for a long moment as if trying to learn his secrets.

“Would you do it again?” he asks finally, eyes sincere.

Ian presses his lips together and slowly nods. “Yeah.” "Cool."

And from this point on nobody can tell me that mickey isn't always waiting for ian to text him or waiting for an excuse to text ian. When mandy sent him a photo he took the opportunity to text ian. Or when ian texted him, he replied 'immediately'. And he always checks ian's ig page to see if there are any new stories or posts. 🥺

Their Date 🥺❤️ and then this

“You like city views,” Mickey comments, and it isn’t a question. Something about it feels soft, gentle in a way that gets at Ian’s heart. He nods. “Yeah. I do.”

Mickey knew it and that's why he planned their valentine's day date at this location.

Gray has already hinted at what's going to happen next and I'm so excited about that. I can't wait 😅

Yes exactly I mean can you believe Chapter 1 Mickey would one day livestream with Ian and that too for the first fucking time on Valentine's Day??? It was like here, I'm acknowledging you're my friend in front of everybody and that must've been so important after he's spent so much time being w Ian only within the four walls of his hotel room and only recently started going out for breakfast 😭😭😭 and he was nervous whether Ian would liked it or not he's so precious 🥺

And the part where Ian thinks that he and Mickey are too far apart for Ian's everyday life to matter to him?? Death?? Like boy he's talked about you getting a new job with Mo he cares about your everyday life he cares about everything just text him and watch him reply within seconds😭😭😭
