Also, first of all, I think that it was set post-movie, because otherwise some things are weird and can’t be justified... Such as Coraline showing up at the very end of the dream to save everyone... Not that that’s an easy justify even with that information...

Anyway...

The dream began with the Pepper sisters fishing up the Button Key from the well... Why they were there I have no idea... but to be fair, this dream had everyone there... Well all their families anyway. So; Lance + Galahad, Vivi’s parents + Grandma, and all the Peppers. So I think that they may have been on Vacation or soemthing? I don’t know, but they were at the Pink Palace(??? I need to rewatch the movie...) and the Pepper sisters fish up the key right at the start... They also fished up the Beldam’s hand, but uh... that didn’t end up doing anything...

Mostly because it just got tossed right back into the well...

Also it was broken...

But anyway, it began with them fishing out the key... and discovering the door.

Cue reflections to the movie... It’s bricked up, Belle and Cayenne disappear, I mean, I’m sure they were still around, but for the rest of the dream they were kind of gone... I guess they were having fun with their parents, IDK, what do you want from me...

So for whatever reason...

It was Paprika with a self-doll.

The baby of the family. And so she was the one who went through the door. I don’t even know what her wonderland was like TBH, because it didn’t stick in my mind... a weird detail that did was for whatever reason the Beldam choose to take the form of Arthur, IDK okay, it was a dream. Dreams don’t logic...

So when Pap got back to reality she goes and talks to Arthur about it. And he tells her, that if she’s feeling uncomfortable/upset to talk to her parents, or Lewis... which is what I attempted to draw... but no, she just wants to show him the door. He doesn’t not believe her, but he doesn’t know how it works... So he just sort of tells her to be careful.

I know it was the rule of three, just like in the movie.

First trip, second... and third the offer of the buttons.

Also, I don’t entirely know how Arthur got there, but he did. In the dream when Paprika refused Arthur came to the rescue when the Beldam got nasty... I’m not entirely sure how events unfolded for either of them afterwards... because the dream jumped to Coraline showing up to warn everyone... and she talks to Vivi...

Also, Mystery and the Cat... they didn’t exactly get along for most of the dream, until the cat managed to get the message of the danger across. Although Lewis + Vivi learnt about that from Coraline...

I don’t even know how to explain this... because it was all bounce, bounce, bounce, jump in the dream. So Coraline explains, Lewis takes off, I think it was something like Paprika screamed for her brother... Lewis being a ghost he heard her... and well... He got there somehow...

A bit late, kind of although I still don’t know the sequence of events...

Lewis did burn the Beldam up into nothing though...

There’s already been one monster too many that used Arthur to hurt them... but still.

I don’t know...

There was more but uh... I don’t want to explain the whole, even with buttons Arthur was able to still be free because the Beldam was gone thing... but uhm...

Yeah.

I don’t know what I’m going to do with this concept. It was a confusing dream okay...

(Also I really want to know what all the adultier adults were doing the entire time? Because what in the world, they were there, they got mentioned... Lance threw a wrench at a rat... Vivi’s Grandma was suspicious of the doll... but then they did nothing??? Brain why?)

I mean, the good thing was that Arthur was still free at the end, and none of the kids got hurt, but Arthur still ended up with buttons... and I don’t know how my brain logicked that, or what even happened, because it went from Arthur launching himself in to protect Paprika, to Coraline showing up and exposition dumping, to Lewis bursting in, burning the Beldam to nothing, and then the ending-ish... Where Arthur had buttons... but Paprika was fine...
