😂😂😂 I think that’s exactly what happens, and then I think while Palpatine’s busy having his ass handed to him in a grand old lightsaber battle with Windu & Yoda & et. al., Obi-Wan grabs Anakin by the ear to keep him from getting underfoot and pulls him away down the hall only half-listening while Anakin goes full Grumpy Baby Vader about the whole thing
“I told you I didn’t want to go to the Senate!”
Obi-Wan hums negatively. “You never said anything of the sort, darling, how was I supposed to know?”
“Well... I definitely didn’t ask to go there!”
“That’s true, but I must say,” Obi-Wan gives him a sideways look. “I didn’t exactly invite you along, either. You don’t let me go anywhere alone, Anakin. Would you have let me go to the meeting alone?”
“No.”
“Then what’s the fuss?”
Anakin scowls. “You should have told me we were going to the Senate! I would have said no! You could have died!”
“It’s hardly my fault you weren’t paying attention until we’d already arrived. It’s not like our destination was secret, Anakin. You just weren’t paying attention!”
“You were distracting me!” Anakin sulks. “You know you were.”
Obi-Wan shrugs unrepentantly, his eyes twinkling. “Still sounds like a personal problem to me.”
