Thursday Things

Was certain it was Tuesday for most of the morning

Woke up with a really painful and mysterious hernia

Got officially addicted to and obsessed with Dexter (still on season 1)

I finished the second season of The Expanse. Everyone was right - it was much better than the first season. Looking forward to the third.

I watched Bad Times at the El Royale. Not bad, but not great. Not surprising that it was written and directed by Drew Goddard (who directed, wrote, and/or produced Lost, The Cabin in the Woods, The Good Place). Unfortunately, it was better in theory than execution. 

I watched the Deadwood movie. I really liked how the first half hour or so incorporated a bunch of quick flashbacks to remind the viewer of what happened in previous seasons. They were certainly more helpful than rewatching the entire thing over again from the beginning because it’s been so long. For all of the action in the movie, it could have been about 30 minutes shorter, but this was always very “deliberately” paced. I loved the ending, especially the very last bit of dialogue. Worth the whole series!

I got sleep! Last night, I fell asleep during Colbert for about 10 minutes, then again at the end (12:30) and work up at 9! That’s 8 1/2 full hours of sleep! That’s usually 2+ days of sleep all at once.

Annoying Tumblr things - #1 - liking things on the phone app only to find that they’re not hearted the next time I see them. Not a problem on the computer app, so sorry if people think I’m ignoring them!

Annoying Tumblr things - #2 - those people with really cool content who insist on publishing it all at once (usually all reblogs, but still cool) instead of CUING THAT SHIT! Seriously, sometimes I look at my dash and think I’m accidentally heart-fucking someone, then I see a post from someone else and I’m all like ????

I think I lost five pounds playing guitar today. Holy sweatballs, batman!

Went to walk out of my bedroom door and tripped over #Mocha the Dog who made this super annoyed grunt AND DIDNT EVEN MOVE so I tripped her on again when I got back into bed. 

Went to the kitchen to get some tea, apparently #Misha the Cat was hungry because the second I turned on the light she started meowing at the top of her lungs and then jumped on my shoulder and nearly fell off because shes becoming a total fatty mc fat cat so she threw her claws into my skin to hold on for dear life. OUCH. 

Got her royal Chunkiness some food, went to pour my tea, realized I didnt have any tea. Had just been boiling water for no reason. 

Took a shower in the dark because I am cranky AF at this point and went to brush my teeth. Didnt realize I didnt in fact put the toothpaste on the tooth brush until a perfectly dry toothbrush scraped over my gums, so that was cool. (Dark + I wasnt wearing contacts so I couldnt see a damn thing)

No messages in my ask box (which isnt really a problem I just wanted to complain about it)

Someone annoying hit me up on FB and Im like... I definitely told you a week and a half ago to remove thyself from my footradius what in the everloving actual fuck are you doing messaging me again?

Anyway. 

Chapter Fourteen of Christmas will be up in about half an hour. 

For whatever reason, this seasonal change is really getting to me. My skin is broken out but so dry, I’ve had a pounding headache for a solid week, and no matter how early I go to bed, I feel like I just cannot get enough sleep. And when it’s still dark out at 7 AM, it’s so tough to get up. I hate shorter days. Hate hate hate.
