So with the SpongeBob splatfest in Splatoon 1, I like to imagine Splatoon universe managed to uncover dozens of SpongeBob tapes'/dvds/files. Issue is, they don't realize SpongeBob is a cartoon character, but instead...think it's footage of godly beings (due to all the toon physics the characters do, like SpongeBob unraveling the universe like a thread at one point).
As a result they genuinely have a religion of him. The other characters, especially the likes of Pit and Palutena, aren't sure how to feel.
Cool headcanon but I'm sorry the what
Thoughts on that Starfy cameo where he and his sister plow through Bowser Army to give Mario and Luigi an opening?
Thought it was weird Starfy sounded like a teenager when he's 7, though.
Yeah the voice threw me off too. The scene was mostly sweet but the bit with Luigi trying to use him as a power star felt super forced imo
Rewatching the World of Light opening, Galeem uses one beam to wipe out each character, spirit or fighter, sometimes multiple characters with one beams.
But for some fucking reason, he sends like SIX beams after Falco. He's the the only one hit by multiple at once.
What the FUCK did Falco do to Galeem to make him want him DEAD dead.
fuck this bird
But yeah I do see what you mean. My initial guess was it related to him flying an Arwing and thus being a trickier target, but there are others flying in the air that only get hit with one beam (the Pits, and Bayonetta sorta).
I've mentioned in the past that the intro for World of Light starts with a cold open in the middle of a conflict, most likely after multiple fighters have been claimed already. Notably, Fox is at the very front of the army of remaining fighters.
Now, one aspect of the World of Light trailer I've neglected to mention thus far is: At this point, the fighters know that Galeem is responsible for the Master Hand clones and is figuring out how to take them all on, but when the gloves unravel, the light from them gets reabsorbed by Galeem, which allows him to charge for his ultimate beam attack. Shulk gets a vision about it and tries to warn the group, implying that while the roster knew of the Hands being hostile clones, they didn't know about Galeem's ultimate attack.
Which makes me think that that attack was a last resort on Galeem's end--that if all had gone according to plan, there wouldn't be an army prepped to take him on, and he would've claimed them all individually or in smaller groups rather than having to go full aggro mode on everyone left.
Now, take a look at the gif again. We can see that even WITH the six (yes I counted) beams chasing after him, Falco got really far in a short period of time--probably farther than anyone else did, minus Kirby. Maybe Falco managed to escape the first time, thus giving him a chance to gather the rest of the roster to fight the gang, and Galeem's disproportionate aggression toward Falco was because it's determined not to make that mistake again.
Do you think the Spirits had their memories erased once they got their bodies back? Cause like, being vaporized, dying, your soul being used a fuel source to fight, etc., probably would leave a lot of them with trauma or PTSD...especially especially the Spirits that are peaceful worlds or are innocent/gentle people.
Oh they absolutely did. At the very most it'd just be like they all had some weird fever dream.

I had an idea that Duck Hunt have a Tom and Jerry dynamic; the two HATE each other, but drop the grudge when a new match or stuff like WoL happens.
Outside of that? Yeah, the dog has a rep for wrecking up the mansion just to catch the duck (he actually steals stuff from other fighters fighters increase his chances)
Oh I actually love that concept + it'd fit with Duck Hunt canon. Enemies until they're not.
So about my idea of the Dog and Duck basically being Tom and Jerry, who are the characters who likely get injured in their shenanigans the most?
Since it's likely EVERY character got wrapped up/hurt/inconvenienced by their mayhem at least once.
Luigi, Pit, Dedede, and Robin
The Ring Out effect looks like Galeem's beams so hear me out.
World of Light was just him going on strike for only being paid 20 bucks a week.
After the events it got bumped up to 50 a week. He's chill again. Now take this dialogue.
"YOUR RING OUT EFFECT PROVIDER'S GOING ON STRIKEEEEEEEEEE"
"GALEEM CALM DOWN"
"20 DOLLARS A WEEK IS NOT ENOUGH"
"GALEEM"
"GIVE ME A PAY RAISE ALREADY"
wait what do you mean by ring out effect. did I miss smth
