“Don’t forget your lunch,” Thor called out as he continued to butter the toast before handing the more burnt slices to Bruce, sitting opposite him at the island and engrossed in grading up the last few tests from his Tuesday morning class’s pop quiz.
“Yeah, yeah,” Brunhilde called out, shuffling into the kitchen while tugging on her jacket, “I’ve got it next to my bag by the door,” she muttered, pausing first by Bruce to press a kiss to his cheek, before moving over to Thor, who paused in finishing up breakfast for his partners, and leaning up on her toes to do the same.
“I’m gonna kill your brother for scheduling this meeting so earlier,” she remarked darkly, straightening her clothes before swiping her dark purple traveling coffee mug off the counter.
Grinning softly, Thor pulled the pan off the burner and placed it on a hot pad, before turning it off and turning around fully, bringing his large hands up to cup his wife’s face gently as he leaned down and captured her lips in a gentle, but firm kiss. After a moment, they slowly pulled apart, “You know Loki is doing this in retaliation for you accidentally breaking his favorite set of win glasses at dinner the other week.”
Huffing, she stepped back, even as her lips twitched up into a smile. “I wouldn’t have done it, if he hadn’t made snide comments about Bruce most of the night.”
The pair turned at the sound of a snort coming from Bruce, “His brother’ll keep making remarks until he realizes I’m not here to mess up your marriage,” Bruce stated as he began packing up his bag.
