If you truly take a look at the history of this great nation, you'll see that at the very core of it is civil disobedience. If you do not understand the tactics, the reasons, and the community that people get from protests and marches, it means you are privileged. You don't understand what it means to have your very basic rights threatened, and you don't understand the solidarity and solace it brings the voiceless. And that's not a bad thing. It's not a crime to have a good life, or to not experience oppression, but when you belittle and devalue the civil disobedience of others you're telling them their experiences are exaggerated or fictitious and that's not okay. If you care about someone that cares about these things, join them on the floor. See the people that are there. Feel the power of community.
