A piece for a competition that unfortunately I was unable to enter. However, I loved the idea of it and it was well worth finishing. . . . #art #illustration #environmentalart #bike #recycling #upcycling #upcycle #recycle #reuse #trash #landfill #garbage #throwawaysociety https://www.instagram.com/p/BvcYMztFOWN/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=10ld2cv6of2lm
I found a metal clipper lighter cover with a small clipper inside that had been thrown away by someone in a car park as the flint had died , typical throw away society .
I gave it a good clean and refueled and new flint and its now good to go , will prob pimp it though !

Habit
If there’s so much waste within landfill and our oceans, I feel it’s within the manufacturers, artists and designers interest to form solutions which enable us to take action and tackle problems which already exist. We shouldn’t be adding to them. If nothing changes within design, it could be said that the consumer will continue to buy into what they have become so used to. It’s called habit.
