Whenever I feel overwhelmed by the burdens of this world, whenever doubt and anxiety tries to creep in, whenever the voices in my head start to scream and shout filthy lies, I remember HER, the widow who gave it all. Every last cent. She emptied herself of self as she clung to the most precious offering she had to give that day, crawling slowly to the steps of the temple, she reached inside herself with every last ounce of dignity she could muster and instead of holding back the one comfort she possessed, she emptied it out into the temple coffers. She gave it all, down to the last cent. Just like He gave it all, down to the last drop. Our Lord was watching her that day. Just as He watches you today, Dear One. Our Lord was moved by her lack of self. He pondered her the way she would soon ponder Him. The gaze of our Lord is always upon us. May our actions be as pleasing to him today as the widow who gave it all. May we stir His heart as she did. Moved by her, he pondered He was not alone. There was someone else like Him here. That day, she consoled our Lord and gave Him encouragement. This is the true gift of life, that we would give it all not for ourself but for Him that He May be consoled and not us. When you give it all, Dear One, Christ looks at you with eyes of wonder and says, “Truly I tell you, this [one] has put in more than all of them; for they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in ALL THE LIVING that she had." Dearest Ones, Let us give it all the Living that we have! Not for our sake or even others but for Him. The One who Sees Us. ❤️💙💛 #mondays #wordoftheday #inHim #withHim #throughHim #giveitallyougot #wakingeve #sheerah724 #bissisterhood https://www.instagram.com/p/BtdksqJnCFi/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=172ki3eck2o0o
