What's goin' on with this guy's eyeball?

From what I’ve read, those with DT normally put on a sort of show, which is to say they’ll present themselves with eye-catching smiles, clothes, mannerisms, things that’ll get people to approach them. Now, that’s not to say they won’t show their “darker” sides. They show that just enough to intrigue people, and that’s where the “bad boy” idea comes in.

ohhhh, that’s a great point! i’d actually never heard of this until you mentioned it, but taking a cursory glance at the wikipedia page for DT, i think those three personality traits could definitely be applied to cain!

narcissism: in the beginning of the comic, yes. i think this could definitely apply to cain. he has an inflated view of himself, struts his stuff and is very much the “alpha dog” of the pack. at least at the beginning, and through the flashbacks we’ve seen. thinks he’s capable of seducing abel because, well, it’s him. though i think he becomes less so as the comic goes on, probably near the end of chapter three and the beginning of four, when his character is slightly retconned into this softer, tamer version of his chapter one and two self.

psychopathy: absolutely. again, at the beginning, he feels nothing for anyone else but himself, including his only friend “deimos”. is incredibly selfish, refuses to let anyone touch or be near abel, though is decidedly less so when they start sharing a bed. impulsive? most definitely. picking fights, spur of the moment sex, invading abel’s spaces to assert himself (cafeteria scene) and their relationship. praxis wasn’t wrong with this one.

machiavellianism: for sure. absolutely this one. cain’s entire thing is that he uses other people for personal gain. deimos, abel, they’re pawns to him, at least initially. in a way he’s probably using bering to get back to mars, too, but he’s not exactly the brightest bulb in the box so. we’ll see how far that plan goes. 

20- Who would be the mother/father figure?

Lmao they are both the father figure but Koujaku is def more "motherly" than Mink is mostly cause he's def his mothers child and pretty much imitates her when with their child. Mink points this out and Koujaku can do nothing but blush and say something like "Well better her than me" and Mink assures Koujaku that he's a good parent in his own way

21- Who stays up late helping with homework?

Miiink! Koujaku just doesn't have the patience or ends up not understanding jack shit("When did school get this hard?! Just... Go ask you're other father...."). Mink is actually hella good  at teaching and doesn't care how long it takes 

22- Who takes over the beauty/style department?

Ehehehehe bro Koujaku for sure. Mink would have a lot of the exact same boring clothes cause he doesn't care. Koujaku refuses to look anything but amazing. Koujaku is all kinds of distressed about how little Mink cares about beauty and style

23- Which partner takes the kid(s) to more outings?

Oh gosh I think they would both do outings together but Mink more so because he loves teaching their child  about nature, his heritage, and other important things about the land and what not. The two often come home covered in dirt and dead tired so Koujaku has to watch over them while they clean up so they don't drown in the tub from having fallen asleep while washing up.

"Merry Christmas, Brother."

Kotarou stared in awe at the gift his brother placed in his hands. It was huge, and that shape, could it be…? He tore the paper to reveal the giant Snickers bar within.

"I know how you’ve been searching for something like this, so I thought it was perfect!"

"Brother…" Kotarou stared at the sacred item in his grasp disbelievingly. There really were no words. “Thank you.”

Shirasu just chuckled, obviously pleased with his reaction. There was a moment of expectant silence as he watched his brother admire his gift, but as the silence stretched he started to feel a little awkward. He cleared his throat to get his brother’s attention, and when he finally tore his eyes away from the (giant) Snickers bar, eyes a little misty, Shirasu held his hands up to him in supplication. "And for me?"

Outwardly, his expression didn’t change, but inside, Kotarou felt a sense of panic. Oh, crap. Despaired as he had been over his inability to receive the oh so revered confectionery, he’d completely forgone obtaining a gift for his own brother. And now here he was, his own gift tightly gripped to his chest, and his brother, with that a small smile, waiting expectantly for his own gift. With a sick feeling in his gut, Kotarou once again looked down at the bar in his arms.

"Brother, are you me?" He repeated the question they'd shared between them since their childhood, his voice low.

"I am...?" Shirasu's voice trailed off, making his response sound like more of a question than a retort.

Kotarou drew in a slow breath. "If I am you, and you are me, then... this gift is also yours." With a sudden flash, the Snickers bar was sliced perfectly in half and, with a final resolved look, he offered one half to Shirasu, who accepted it wordlessly. "So... Merry Christmas, Brother!"

Koujaku loves writing and everything about it. He loves story building, when the words just flowed from his mind to the page, he loves his characters even the minor ones. What Koujaku hates about writing is his editor.

Mink.

He’s a total hardass and nothing is ever good enough for him. It seems that no matter what Koujaku writes there’s always something terribly wrong. It could be anything between “I don’t like that comma there” or “This character is beyond painful to read about Red.”
