The way it did before
Open starter if anyone wants it! Stepping back onto the island had been so refreshing, exciting even. Albeit the numerous gigantic bags he was hauling through snow, getting to his haven of an apartment was even better. He was greeted with the same gentle ambiance he left behind, the calm serenity of his home filled the void he had started to feel while away. Japan had been beautiful, but as the months went by he really truly began to miss his friends, the island,.... Home. As much as he'd love to hit the town and see familiar and new faces alike, the unpacking must commence. Which he might admit, is one of his favorite things. Reorganizing all of his stuff so it fits whatever category or drawer it needs to be in. It was like... Spring cleaning after a vacation. Laundry separated by colors and fabrics, gifts for his friends wrapped and placed neatly by the door, the clothes he had been gifted after his walks were pressed and hung, Masego playing on the record player, a relaxing hot shower, now all he had to do was pop his comfortable clothes and glasses on, and he was ready to enjoy the peace of the island. With a glass of rich red wine in hand he folds open one of the large glass doors that lead to his patio, crisp air nipping at his warm skin as he rests his arms on the railing, looking out at all the lights and the way the warm glow of the sunset glimmers off of the snow. He looked at it for the beauty it was. A place he is so happy to be. A place where he feels free, valued, and loved. It was really good to be back. Deep brown eyes take in everything as if he was consuming it all for the first time again, getting lost in his own comfort he didn't even realize how cold he was starting to get until he thinks he hears his name from below. Curious. Leaning over the railing, the arm with his wine glass just hanging over, he sees a familiar face way down below and he smiles wide, not even sure if they can see it through the snow; and knowing he wouldn't be able to, or want to for that matter, yell all the way down there, he motions with his arms an invitation from the cold, and a promise of wine if they wanted.
