The flowers, the dress, the caterer, the groom. Everything was where it should be and running smoothly according to her mother, but Daisy couldn’t stop the feeling that something just wasn’t right. Perhaps that had something to do with the fact that she was marrying a man that she no longer cared for. Or it could have been because she had just found out that she was pregnant and she wasn’t sure whether the father her fiancee or her lover. She thanked her lucky stars that she was only a few weeks along and wasn’t showing yet. The last thing she needed in her life right now was her family judging her for having premarital sex.
A sigh escaped her lips as she stared at herself in the mirror. She had to admit that her dress was beautiful, with it’s full ball gown skirt and lace train. This should have been the happiest day of her life, but it wasn’t even close. fighting back tears, she pulled her veil, grabbed her bouquet, and exited the bridal room. Her father was waiting for her outside of the main hall, smiling widely at her. Well, at least someone was happy about this. She gave him the best smile she could manage and took his arm, allowing him to lead her down the aisle to her future.
