Ian was mildly annoyed that DJ had slapped a cowboy hat on him, but considering his nieces had wanted them to match here he was with it still on. He didn't mind when he had actual work that warranted having one but he felt ridiculous with it and swim shorts. Nodding when he saw Jake, "You know when they said they were looking for lifeguards, I wasn't aware I'd also have to keep people from a portal. Which sounds as ridiculous to say as it is to be a part of," he said shaking his head.

Ian was checking over the stables before he paused in front of one of the horse. Bringing his hand up he waited before gently petting the side of Jake from State Farm's head. "Hey Jake, you hungry?" he asked checking his pocket for the carrot he'd brought. When he heard a different voice answer he glanced over, "Uh...I meant Jake the horse."

Jake braced Nina against the nearest wall as she climbed him, pressing them just inside of the closest alleyway, getting them out of sight. He moaned softly at her gentle kisses, at the feel of her hand on his neck. He lifted a hand of his own, brushing her dark bangs from her eyes, peering into her cool gaze with a warm smile.

Julia squeaked a little when some of the hot oil shot off the stove, catching her arm as she made breakfast for herself and Jake. She hadn’t seen him a while - mostly due to her self-inflicted isolation period after Jade. It hadn’t been fair to her other best friend had been grieving as much as she had been. “I’m glad you came over.” She said, turning off the stove after deciding that they had enough food for themselves and for left overs - most likely to be eaten by Teddy or Nate later in the day. Asa’s death was still fresh in her mind, plaguing her with grief that had always been her kryptonite. So mostly, Julia was trying to stay distracted as to not let it consume her entirely. Asa would hate that for her. “I made a little of everything, so dig in!”

Jake never thought he'd be the type to settle down and get married, but here he was, living in his own house with his wife, both of them sitting on the couch.

He pulled Luci onto his lap, a wide smile on his face. "God, I fucking love you," the male whispered, cupping his wifes face in his hands.

"can you please shut up! you can't come at me like everything is my fucking fault!"

"really? now? whats so important you have to do your makeup now?"
