Zannah was judging her companion. Hard. She never trained him, and she never got acquainted to him the way she did her former teammates. Still, she was not in a position to be picky when Daemonites were increasing in numbers despite her best effort to eradicate them.

"If you're uncomfortable dealing with creatures alien to your world who would seek to subjugate your kind, you shouldn't fight alongside me. Those parasites might possess and destroy your brethren. But does your own predicament make you feel sorry for them?"

She was being serious: she had no room to coddle someone unable to kill a daemonite. She was in no mood to entertain him with the notion that the daemonites were similar to his Klyntar symbiote: while both species had similarities, the differences were fundamental.

Flash was taken aback by Zealot's bluntness. Boy, did he have a habit of getting paired up with teammates that had no time for jokes. He'd note that, deciding to ease up on the humor and openness

"I can do my job, if that is what you're asking, ma'am." he raised his hand and gave a small salute, his voice even and respectful slipping back into soldier mode with practiced ease.

He wasn't familiar with Daemonite's the way she Zannah was. He didn't know if the entire species was bent on destruction, or if these were just a militant offshoot...all he did know was the group they were dealing with currently didn't come to Earth in peace.
