Introduction to the Process Flows in Screw and Nut Manufacturing
Wire Drawing Process: This process involves drawing and reducing the diameter of raw material products to the desired wire diameter. It is suitable for wire used in large screws, nuts, and threaded rods.
Cold Forging Process: The head of bolts is formed through cold heading equipment, resulting in a continuous metal fiber cross-section that enhances product strength and mechanical performance. Hex bolts are formed using four-die four-blow, three-die three-blow, or three-die three-blow methods. Screws are formed using a one-die two-blow method.
Thread Rolling Process: This process involves rolling or tapping to create the required threads on the already formed semi-finished products. Cold processing is typically used for bolt threads, where the thread blanks within a certain diameter range are shaped by the pressure applied by thread rolling plates or dies.
