Thought No.1 : On Racism.
Disclamer : Sorry if anyone takes offense in my thoughts but yeah, whatever, ya know ?
AHLALALALA. Racism. RACISM.Ā What a stupid thing.
See, racism is sneaky: You call someone names because they donāt look like you butĀ āBuddy, the only person whoās exactly like you is yourself.ā
Yep. Thatās right. NOBODY in the wholeĀ Universe will ever look exactly like you. Unless you have anĀ identicalĀ twin or something.
Iāve got a lot of things on my mind about this subject. A lot.
First, races never existed. You, I, them, weāre all humans, arenāt we ? We all have our own problems and own shit to do and fucking lives of our owns.
Also racism is really bad. Nobody should get killed because they were born with darker/paler skin or slanted eyes. Everybody matters, everybody has the right to live in peace.
BUUUT, I already heard people taking advantage of this. āTerrence, detention !ā āJUST BECAUSE IāM BLACK !ā No. She/he said that because you called your fella a cunt/was an arsehole/spat on someone/did something bad, which is not socially acceptable. This shit is not something you should say and itās anything but funny. Innocent people got sent in jail because of false accusations of racism.
Iām what people call āblackā (or of mixed race) but, to be completely honest with you, Iāve never actually thought about me or other people as ājust coloursā. Itās kind of like you judged people by their eye colour or by the shape of their feet. Itās ridiculous. Humans are so much more than that !
Racism goes both ways, too. My mum got insulted for beingĀ āwhiteā and I was bullied for beingĀ āhalf-blackā or whichever shit they called me. I didnāt want to go to school as a kid because of that and I even told my mum I wanted to beĀ āwhiteā.
Thing is, racism can be toward anyone, but itās not because you donāt like someone of a particular Pantone shadeĀ that you must be against a whole ethnicity.Ā
Also, can someone tell me whatās the deal with the wholeĀ āWhite people canāt...ā andĀ āBlack people canāt...ā ?Ā
Everybody can do whatever the fuck they want. Because weāre all different, but also all the same. The world needs to wake the fuck up and realise that you canāt define someone by their colour (which they obviously didnāt choose), but by their actions and thoughts and attitude.
And by the way, I may be of Pantone 18-0940 TPX Ā (Yup. Golden brown, cause Iām like, Royalty), but that doesnāt mean I wonāt appreciate Starbucksā Pumpkin Spice Latte as much as a paler skinned person ! And anyway, whatās racism good for ? Nothing, thatās right.
Summary of the post : Racism. Fucks. The. World. Up.
Aftermath of racism :Ā -War -Sadness -Bullying -War -Angry people -Possible destruction of the Universe
Books on the subject : ā> Lies We Tell Ourselves by Robin Talley, which is a YA LGBTQA+ book about segregation and integration and same sex love and itāsĀ totally awesome, may I tell you.
ā> The Help by Kathryn Stockett, which has been made into an amazing movie with Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer and Emma Stone (QUEEEEENS) and is one of my personal favorites.
ā> To Kill A Mocking Bird by Harper Lee, which yāall probably read in High School / College / Life
Now, what are YOUR thoughts on Racism ?
