#thoughts while drawing

I mean... It's nice to know the theory and all and learning new stuff from just watching other people riding in spanish style (which is still closest to medieval style) or rejoneo (which I don't support for several reasons, don't worry, but it's useful to see some moves with an actual 'opponent' who is actively reacting instead of acting)... But nothing beats trying all of this yourself.

I also feel a big problem with nowadays soldiers (and foot-soldiers of all times actually) is that they don't have to care about a partner much. I mean they have their comrades, sure, but that's different from having to care for a horse or dog for years even before the battle, worry for it's safety and trying to prevent it from getting harmed, even though you are an active part on the battlefield.

You get a lot more wary. You don't get desensitized that much. That animal you build up a friendship with is right under your butt or beside you all the time and will give back friendship when you care about it.

Same with other animals. Except for most birds... And camels. Especially camels. Camels are weird. They don't really care who is riding them.

So.... I guess the overall thing I get from this is....

Care for animals, then you don't want them to get hurt. And then you are less likely to even begin a fight/war.

Still...
