sometimes i wish the littluns were explored more... like i know they wouldn't have a major part in anything but it's clear they had their own personalities (ex: henry enjoying having control over living creatures) and i wish i heard more about them

mulberry boy's death is so terrifying to me because the details of what happened are never shown, and it's disturbingly treated as unimportant. there's no trace, no corpse, no anything. afterwards, everyone moves on from it as if it never happened; ralph doesn't even acknowledge him as one of the deceased at the end of the book.
even though it isn't shown, we know he died from the fire because it's the only given explanation for his disappearance. it must've been agonizing, scorching hot, and frightening for him since most six-year-olds cannot comprehend the concept of death and its finality, especially when it's coming to them. (there are exceptions, but whatever) and then the others forget about him just like that. it's so crazy to me
these thoughts probably don't make sense but please just piece it together
i like the concept of samneric ragebaiting eachother... they think alike so they know exactly what pisses the other off
samneric headcanons go
they almost have the same personality, but eric is a sheep and follows in sam's footsteps. he's also quieter.
every christmas when they were toddlers, their mum would dress them in matching santa hats and matching ugly sweaters.
they have a bad sweet tooth. watch your sweets around them (esp your cinnamon rolls)
at school, their friends get them mixed up all the time. sometimes one twin pretends to be the other twin and vice versa, and they can't tell who is who.
they have autism and they take almost everything literally unless it's a known saying. will elaborate on a later post.
great attendance, above average grades.
they're overly polite unless they're comfortable with you. it isn't like they understand why they have to be polite besides being nice; they mostly see it as a social rule they have to follow.
very skinny upon coming off the island; they were already kind of slender coming onto the island.
extremely quiet after their capture since they fear both roger and jack and worry about upsetting them. also scared of talking to any of the hunters (besides maybe maurice, but that's because they're aware he shows remorse)
if they jokingly ragebait someone they're attached to that person
samneric's special interest are fish and dogs (i fluctuate between special interests for them, but rn it's just fish and dogs)
they aren't really aware of their own volume
both of them are very affectionate! they give gifts, cuddle, compliment, and are loyal.
they're very clingy.
ok that's it
samneric are probably the clingiest mfs you'd ever meet
