If you use Thonky.com for any reason, you might want to be careful. There could be adware afoot!
I’m not calling out the good people at Thonky and saying they’re bad; I actually love their site and use it a lot when playing Animal Crossing. But I went there on my phone earlier tonight and some form of adware tried to install itself on my phone and I was lucky enough to cancel the download before it could finish. I just wanted other people to know there was a problem, and I intend to let Thonky know as well. Stay safe and make sure you have an updated anti-virus program!
FYI (I mentioned this yesterday but I’ll add it here again for anyone who missed it), if you wish to virus-protect your phone as well I recommend the Sophos security app. It does a good job and also comes with ways to protect your phone’s data in case your phone is lost or stolen.
