So, this is perhaps some big news. I have chosen to not to do a Short Story Serial for all my current works and instead write them as novels. Even though I had a problem writing novels before, it has occurred to me that I can write novels, and I mean big novels.

I'm on Chapter Six of the Demon Hunters: Awakening and have written, since starting this project back in mid-July, at least 43,000 words. That almost beats any previous novel I have ever finished and I'm only halfway through this story.

Yes, I won't have lots of short stories, but when I realised that other authors are selling massive stories in ebook form at low prices. I realise people are going to want a lot for their buck so I am going to give them more for their buck instead of giving them a slice. People enjoy large stories ans especially enjoy them when they are really affordable.

I'm still in the beginning phase of my writing career despite having done this for over 3 years. Them again, no one's perfect and everyone has their own pace. It took me 3 years to find my format and I'm still working it out. I thought writing short stories was the way for me, but it's not. It's writing novels as though they are made of short stories that connect with one another. I tried this once before, but it didn't work. Now, I know it will work and Demon Hunters: Awakening, will be but the first story in a very long series.

A way I managed to properly explain to myself and how this made sense was comparing it to your favourite TV show. You would never pay for each individual episode. You would pay for the entire season as a whole when it was complete. I was selling the chapters of a story as short stories thinking that was the right thing to do, but it wasn't, especially when you realise just how competitive the Amazon Marketplace is and that everyone is always looking for the best deal, one that works for them.

Another good thing is that with this method, I'm also able to do multiple stories which I have never been able to do so I'm doubly happy.

I'm going through all my currently written stories in the Demon Hunters and give them a second read-through and edit or add parts if necessary. A part of me feels that I haven't done a good enough job on them and as much as I find it difficult to proofread and edit my own stories I will push myself and eventually get used to doing it more often.

I only want to give my readers the best and I feel like I haven't that, I haven't given them enough. Then again, I don't have many to begin with but then so does every writer who starts out. I'm just glad that I have a few readers out there who are willing to give my series a chance.

Would appreciate any reblog to spread awareness of my series as I am trying to make a living from them and I know how difficult that is which is I plan on doing other series in the future. I'm focusing my attention on one at the moment and perfecting my method before starting others.

So, because my Demon Hunters short story serial is going well, I've decided I would mark every ten thousand words.

I did the math and counting all the words in Chapters 1 - 4 and what is currently written of 5, I've done 31,429 words. Now, to some, that may not seem like much but to me it is more than enough because anyone who's struggled with writer's block may know just how difficult it is to get these words out. To finally find the right format that works with me - which is the format I started off with *sigh* - is a great feeling.

The Demon Hunters: Chapter Three is now available for purchase on Amazon. Chapter Four will follow suit once it has been edited. Chapter Five is currently at around 1500 words.

Well, I've just finished the Whitehurst Curse which will be the first short story in the Night Terrors Anthology. I am very pleased with it and will do a review of it to make sure there are no errors. Current word count is 7441 but that may change a little once I finish proofing it. I am very pleased with how it turned out and I'm impressed that was able to finish it. It's technically the first story I've finished writing since last year, granted it's a short story but I am still happy that I've found something that can and is helping me get out of this blockage I was suffering from.

Any writer or creative individual who has suffered from some kind of mental blockage will know what I'm talking about it. It sucks to want to do something that you love but feel like you don't have the ability, the skill, the time to do it, the ideas are coming to you or the you don't know the right words. Sometimes taking a step back and looking at what you're doing is a way to find out what is causing the blockage. I was forcing myself to undertake big projects that were way beyond what I was capable of so I took a step back and decided to do smaller ones and eventually build myself up to those bigger ones.
