Barbie as the Island Princess headcanons (yes, really)
- You know Ro’s dress-thingie (that by all rights shouldn’t stay up)? Most of the time she just wrapped up her private parts shorts-style and called it a day. Prince Antonio was lucky to find her when fall had already set in. The ‘culture-shock’ was great anyway. - The prince is such a push-over, everyone bosses him around. It’s not even done cruelly, it’s just that he’s always lived in his own world and people started steering him around to prevent him from injuring himself. This evolved into getting the heir to the throne to fetch things and pass messages and just ordering him around in general. - Ro finds this out when the two are engaged and in little time every servant of the castle realizes who is gonna be the power behind the throne. - When Ro arrives in the city, she’s only covered from bosom to knees. The sheer amount of skin on display shocks everyone and soon the rumor that she’s a sexual deviant circles the city. It would be insulting… except she kind of is. - She adapts to life in court extremely quickly. Ro is not a savage, she is always polite but she gives no fucks about certain nobles’ bullshit and that isn’t going to change. So there. - The triplettes totally are her spies in the court, and when they get older, in other courts as well. They’re known as social butterflies for a very good reason. - As anyone could have predicted, Ro repurposes most of the castle’s outside gardens into a Paradise for various kinds of animals. It’s always interesting when they host parties. - The shot-gun marriage Antonio’s parents would have liked does not happen. Rossella’s father and three brothers park themselves at their castle and refuse to 'give her away’ before getting to know her, and it wasn’t like they could pull rank on Rossella’s family, so the prince and princess had a rather lenghty courtship. - Luciana ends up marrying the youngest of Rossella’s brothers. The two girls become great friends and Luciana is the only one to recognise the edge of ruthlessness in the sweet new princess for a long time. - And everyone does live happily ever after. Mostly.
This is ridicolous but I took the time to write it so I’m posting it
