Each of them stand behind them, ready and willing to cater whatever they desired, to give them everything in this world can offer, and perhaps even more...

This world is theirs, after all... made for them to enjoy to their hearts' content.

Anyone who steps in the way of their contentment will be dealt with, and many are aware of such a line, thus refuses to ever cross that which is synonymous with death.

Only a fool would ever over step that line, and those fools don’t ever last that long in the first place.

"Is anything here to your liking, Your Grace?"

The people have grown increasingly aware not to speak in these moments, standing in anxious silence as calm eyes scan over the things that might peak their interests, lingering a few items but ultimately never reaching a decision.

They fear the individual who stand before them, knowing an even frightening existence stands behind them who could tear them down with a flick of their wrist.

Nothing then.

The Archon that stands beside them comes to think when they were shifting away from the counter, assuming nothing has peaked their interest only to be briefly surprised when they grab a small trinket from a certain part of the shelf within the store instead.

They could only breathe a sigh of relief once they made their purchase and left the store, the pressure of standing before an Archon and a much more imposing figure who commands them was starting to become too much for them.

(Had they made one wrong move, the figure that stood behind them would have swiftly sliced their heads off... not that they would have known the cause for such pressure anyways as the shadow slips out now that the person they want to protect has moved onto the next destination.)

It is peaceful within the city, the sounds of the bustling crowd sets hearts at ease... as long as people were careful not to bump into a certain someone, of course. They don’t want to end up like some of the many victims in the past who mysteriously disappeared overnight, after all.

“Your Grace, pardon my rudeness but it is time to return home.”

“Is it time already?”

There is disappointment, barely noticeable if they don’t strain their ears and hear the tone used within it... but as much as they want to let their God enjoy themselves, the world outside is a dangerous place.

Given their more fragile mortal state, they had to be cautious. 

“Alright... let’s go.”

Oh, how much they do want them to enjoy their time outside a little longer... but they’ve been outside for a long time now, it was best to return back home and prepare for dinner.

They hope they get another chance to go outside and spend the day with them again... and if it means to spill blood for it, they’ll do whatever it takes to stay by their side now and forever.

This is horrendous, I’m sorry. I can’t think about anything but this weird POV right now and it’s been eating away at me to write it so here it is. I haven’t publicly written anything since the start of this year, so I’m trying to figure out how to get over my block right now...
