Pro-tip: Get you an amazing boyfriend who will make you a picture perfect cherry cheesecake for your birthday. And being the big dessert lover that I am, I can honestly tell you that he makes the best cheesecakes. Love you, @mattus04 ❤️ . . . #thisis35 #birthday #cheesecake #dessert #boyfriends #happybirthdaytome https://www.instagram.com/p/BtQFff3nphd/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1boy67oq4zf12
🎂 PHOTO 39 🎂This is 35 🎂 As far as birthdays go, 35 ain’t half bad 🎂 I’ve been thoroughly showered in hugs and kisses and love. I feel completely spoilt and I haven’t even opened most of my gifts and cards yet! 🎂 Plan for this evening..... food cooked by the husband, gift opening and gratitude and smiles. What more could you want at 35? 🎂 #birthday #birthdays #35today #thisis35 #partytime #happy #thankful #gratitude #livinginthepresent #mindful #livingmindfully #feelingloved #feelinghappy #feelingcontent (at Surbiton)

She is seriously the sweetest little person. I am so happy she is ours.
Oh, fine.
Recent routine scans for my mother showed a mass had developed on her ovaries, which had not been there 3 months ago during another scan. This means another biopsy and change in chemo treatments - more than likely going back to the more aggressive chemo she had initially started on when first diagnosed back in 2020.
“How are you?” is a question circling back to me from family and friends, which of course I expected. It’s a tricky question to answer. At one follow up visit with her oncologist, I remember him telling us that she’ll probably always have cancer but it’s not necessarily what will “bring her down.” He also warned us pancreatic cancer is known to come back more aggressively. But I also couldn’t help but feel super positive and hopeful because things have been so in her favor, overall, this whole time. And right now I just feel like the reality of this asshole disease has caught up with my hopeful mindset and punched me in the gut.
So how am I? I’m figuring that out.
New kicks, who dis?
I have committed to host a new C25K group in a couple of weeks. It’s a baby step. But it’s still a step forward. And I’m excited.
