About the SU Concrete situation...
To anyone it may concern, I understand those who feel like the concept art for Concrete wae blatantly racist and those who don’t, but there is one thing I’d like to point out.
GEMS. DO NOT. HAVE. HUMAN. RACES. THEY ARE ALL DEFINED WITHIN THE NAME OF THEIR GEMSTONE AND NOTHING ELSE.
To those of you who feel like she was made out to be black, technically speaking, in thr show, she would be adressed as Concrete on Earth, and on Homeworld, ahe would be adressed as Concrete followed by arrangement of letters and numbers. Never ever would defined as a black person, and just for the record, Concrete is GRAY.
I am sick and tired of you all targetting the Crewniverse over this shit. Steven Universe has been nothing, but a show to try and break the social justices and stereotypes that haunt our world today. The Crewniverse would never promote something racist on purpose, let alone would never Rebecca Sugar. Rebecca is my homie for LIFE. It may not matter, but her and I share the same birthday, the same interests, the personalities. This woman who was able to do something no other woman was able to do within decades… IS MY HERO, so I am in and out to protect the woman who has given me the best show I have ever seen since Gravity Falls ended. You may have been able to bully Lauren Zuke into almost quitting her job, but that is where it stops.
Not one of you who are against what happened are going to bully these innocent people who worked HARD to make amazing show anymore. None of you are going to continue to emotionally abuse Rebecca Sugar, Lamar Abrams, or Ian Jones-Quarty, because tgey are a part of the team who worked incredibly hard to create a better beauty than anything we have ever seen before. I don’t care how upset or hurt you are at this point. You are going to join another fanbase and take your bullshit with you, because I refuse for any of you to ruin this goddamn AMAZING show for the TRUE SU fans.
