Dis-ease is stored memories in the consciousness, sometimes from contracts from previous lifetimes, sometimes karmic, and sometimes merely a result of fears embedded in bodily cells. None of this is “bad,” as we learn to label and scare ourselves into deeper illness, but it’s more so an opportunity to unearth what brings the body back into balance and alignment. I realized during my caregiving experiences with my mum, that sometimes “death” from dis-ease isn’t “bad” –as death is the ultimate surrender and continuation of life. Moreover sometimes the highest harmony is surrendering to the dis-ease (what is) and living life within the flow that this experience is the highest harmony for a person in this lifetime and any attempts to be in a different rhythm will tax that person’s body more…perhaps because that person is not ready to take those steps—and that’s ok too. It helped me to stop trying to manipulate my mum into drinking wheatgrass shots and instead fry her up some chicken in her favorite palm oil–and just go sit down near a tree afterwards and enjoy eating the meal with her. I feel my mum all the time in various forms and reflections, and while she transitioned on paper from complications from cancer, I always knew that it was heartbreak. So through my living and loving, I learned to embody love to the best of my abilities and adore potent connections, as my loving is also my mum’s resolve. These are things I used to think about during my biochemistry classes, which gives rise to how I live my life. Fear attracts, yea yea….. but also love attracts, so I am wildly intentional in choosing the latter in my cells, tissues, especially in my (root chakra) because to be alive is to be love.
