“Maaaaaaako!!!” A pot clanged loudly into a pan almost directly above Roadhog’s head. The large man wasn’t startled by the noise, he was use to it, and instead groggly dragged himself to turn and face the source.

Junkrat, King Jamison Fawkes, the world’s most annoying person, stood next to the bed in nothing but a pair of Roadhog’s underwear, probably not clean.

“Oh finally, I thought you’d died.” The scrawny man sighed in relief, dropping his noise makers before clambering onto the bed, sitting on Roadhog’s stomach, “So! After you fell asleep last night I started thinkin’ about our next plan of attack!”

Roadhog sat up, catching Junkrat who’d barely even noticed the larger man was moving, instead continuing to praddle on with his plan to get back at the Junker Queen. Mako stopped listening.

“Time?” Roadhog asked, cutting the other off as he adjusted his mask.

“It’s... erh.... Lemme go check.” Junkrat scrambled from Roadhog’s lap and was out the door to see where the sun was. This gave Roadhog a moment to loosen and reattach his mask correctly before lifting himself from the bed.

“About noon, I think.” Junkrat came back inside, rubbing his eyes.

“12:57...” Roadhog corrected, picking his watch up from beside the bed.

“Eh. Close enough. Ooooh~ We still got Luci-Ohs left!” Junkrat never got the name of his favorite cereal right. Though he didn’t know the instant breakfast existed until two weeks ago.

Roadhog watched from a moment as Junkrat dumped the remaining of the cereal box into his mouth, including a toy he was probably unaware of. The large man’s eyes then wandered to the pile of gold in the center of his hut, and the crown on his night stand.

He wondered why’d they come back here. Why’d he follow Jamison all the way around the world just to bring the spoils back to the apocalypse. There were really cities out there. Real farms. Islands and mountains to whole up in an live like kings.

The hog man’s eyes then returned to Junkrat, the moron, currently fishing for the milk jug from the fridge with an overflowing mouth of cereal.

He’s going to choke.

He could have gone anywhere, Mako thought to himself. He could have demanded his share of their loot and split to somewhere remote. Live in a cabin in the woods with a new farm and too much gold to spend.

Instead he came home. Came back to the land he’d ruined. With an idiot choking on cereal.

Mako put his hand on the open milk jug, stopping Junkrat from lifting it to dump into his open mouth. “Use a bowl. And sit down.” He commanded.

Junkrat glared at his bodyguard as Roadhog got a bowl from the cabinet, making the smaller man spit the sugary breakfast into it. The smaller man then huffed and fell back onto the floor, sitting with his legs crossed, a scowl on his face.

Mako didn’t say anything as he poured as much milk as could fit into the over flowing bowl, grabbed and spoon, and sat at the table.

A moment of heated glaring passed. Mako dipped the spoon into the bowl and lifted it to his masked face.

Junkrat was on his lap mouth open, quickly “stealing” the meal from Roadhog. The larger didn’t mind. He wasn’t a fan of cereal. He wrapped his free arm around Junkrat’s waist to keep him balanced and enjoyed the silence of breakfast.

He could have gone anywhere.
