Wade nodded at her words, sometimes he found himself lying in bed just staring into nothingness trying to sleep and it just wasn’t happening, being around her just seemed to always comfort him.  Smiling softly as she told him to come to her, he walked over and then crawled his way onto the bed, dressed in just his pj bottoms, as he’d just stumbled out of his own bed. Crawling his way up he relaxed down next to her and looked at her without a word. 

“you say you’re numb inside. but i can’t agree.”

     𝐰𝐚𝐬  𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬  𝐡𝐢𝐬  𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐭  𝐭𝐨  𝐭𝐫𝐲  𝐭𝐨  𝐛𝐨𝐧𝐝?     if  so,  it  was  bullshit.     carl’s  memories  of  what  life  was  like  before  was  kind  of  faded  and  tainted  in  a  way.     he  was  twelve  years  old  when  the  world  fell  apart  and  he  didn’t  see  the  point  of  thinking  about  things  were  like  before,  it  just  didn’t  make  the  state  of  things  any  easier.     carl  shrugs  his  shoulders,      “     okay,      ”     carl  says  plainly,  still  unsure  of  what  exactly  was  going  to  happen.     was  he  scared  of  negan?     no.     he  wasn’t  scared  of  very  much  nowadays.     he  was  just  more  cautious  because  the  man  in  front  of  him  felt  unpredictable.     in  a  way,  he  reminded  him  of  his  dad  because  his  dad  could  also  have  his  unpredictable  moments  that  sometimes  made  him  question  who  his  dad  really  was.     but  he  also  trusted  his  dad,  he  knew  his  dad  had  his  best  intentions  and  would  do  whatever  he  needed  to  to  keep  them  all  alive.     he  didn’t  trust  negan,  there  was  no  doubt  in  that,      “     i  don’t  really  think  about  before,      ”     carl  admits,  glancing  down  for  a  moment,  he  found  it  hard  to  maintain  eye  contact  with  negan,  he  was  intense  and  he  didn’t  know  what  the  other  was  thinking,      “     it  doesn’t  exactly  make  things  easier,      ”
