CARLSON YOUNG? No, that’s actually VICTOIRE WEASLEY. Only a SEVENTH YEAR, this RAVENCLAW student is sided with DUMBLEDORE’S ARMY. SHE identifies as CIS-FEMALE and is a 1/8TH VEELA who is notorious for being OBSESSIVE and UNRULY but also revered for being CURIOUS and ADVENTUROUS.

finds the idea that she should know what she wants to do for the rest of her life just laughable because a) she’s seventeen and b) there are literally SO MANY things she wants to try out, she doesn’t just want to work towards one thing she wants to try a wide array of careers. tho she wants to start with becoming an unspeakable, she has a whole list of jobs she wants to try out and yeah she’s kinda flighty just wants to follow her impulses and have fun and learn

the most defining thing about her is probably her curiosity?? like it honestly knows no bounds and she always finds something new that captures her attention and she can be very obsessive about it sometimes

she's a ravenclaw obviously and she’s like... a terrible and great student at once. she loves learning!!! so much!!!! so she always does more reading than she has to bc she always manages to find some interesting angle in a topic like there is never one that is truly boring to her she just has to look at it differently?? but she has no impulse control honestly and no self-discipline so like she really isn’t that good of a student 70% of the time bc she just runs where her curiosity takes her rather than what she should have been doing 

meaning that she’ll spend ages reading about her newest obsession and then at 3am remember that there is en essay due in the morning on a topic she hasn’t even read a page about 

also like. when i say she’s impulsive she really is. she’ll get an idea in her head and she’ll just run with it bc she feels it’s more important than going to class so she gets in a lot of trouble bc she just keeps being absent 

but when she does manage to have some discipline she produces really good work tbh she always put 110% into it tho it’s good to point out that she doesn’t really care too much about grades she is mostly just interested in the actual learning 

and tho she loves reading and good books and stuff she definitely prefers to learn more from experience and really go out there into the world and try things herself. so although she's fine with reading about the acromantulas’ behaviour during mating season she’d much rather venture into the forbidden forest and observe them herself

also her curiosity leads her to be very nosy. respecting people’s privacy?? not something vic knows anything about 

she does a whole lot of dumb shit in the name of science & research. most of which is completely unrelated to science & research. she just runs with her impulses & curiosity she’s probably been in way too many near death scenarios she’s a mess in a fancy dress but she doesn’t really process that she just tells ppl to Chill if they worry 

her attitude can be summed up in the saying curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back 

she loves her family!!!! so much!!!! loyal af to them

also she’s the type of person that thanks to her curiosity loves learning about other people’s interests and try to understand what makes them so passionate about it so if you’re her family/ friend and you talk about something you care about you can be sure that she’ll look into it asap. and this in turn leads her to be a pretty good gift giver tbh?? bc she’s already really looked into their passions you know and she tries to find something along those lines and she usually picks gifts that are pretty well suited to the person 

she’s very social and loves meeting new people

she really doesn’t get much sleep tbh which she really should fix but sleep is so boring she’d much rather do something else with her time so she usually goes to bed around 3 am and wakes up around 7 to get ready for classes 

i feel like that’s not gonna be too good once the war develops more she’s already quite exhausted even if she never really admits it to herself

in terms of the war she’s on dumbledore's army's side obviously and like her parents and the rest of her family she’s ready to fight in the war but she also ??? hasn’t really processed all of this tbh like not fully she’s still like wait is this happening and yeah probs gonna have an ugly wake up soon when the severity of the situation settles in

so isaac was actually??? a lot like his mother, witty and cheeky and caring and friendly and very much liked to Take Himself Out Of The Narrative about most things

was rly chill & lowkey part of dumbledore’s army, like he wasn’t rly Into being vocal about it and stuff but like,,,, his mother Is His Life

until *insert dramatic music* she dies the summer before his sixth year

see, alicia was a single mother auror & one day she went on a mission and she just,,, never came home

and isaac had been staying w his grandfather at the time, who is v old and Not In Good Shape, but helps out bc of alicia

but another auror comes to them that night to tell them that alicia got caught on the wrong side of a curse from another auror

( in truth, it’s all v confusing, but it’d been dark and in the middle of a raid that was actually a Trap and the other auror had thought alicia was the enemy w/o really checking, and then she’d died and it was all too late and they never quite found who did it but when the light came up, alicia’s body was laid out )

bc if his beautiful brave mother, the one person who deserves the entire world and does good, ends up dying, well. what does this say about this shitty world?

it all kinda,,, crushes his optimism honestly; he buries his mother that summer and he becomes angry, becomes dangerous

darker thoughts creep into his head, and he begins to blame everything and everyone

he’s still living w his grandfather, who’s a breath from death himself honestly ( he mostly feels so alone rn his grandfather can barely speak a whole sentence a day ) , and isaac starts to think about how his father, this muggle, couldn’t even be bothered to help, to stay with his mother, the greatest woman isaac knows

and anyways

he joins the death eaters bc he’s angry and craves the destruction now, might as well fuck up this world a lil more

( and yes his absent muggle father might be part of the reason now )

used to play quidditch, but it became too painful after his mum's death so he stopped, is weirdly rly good at wizards chess

he’s withdrawn now, cuts off most of his friends, reads and studies on his own ( kinda excelling in school now bc of this I Hate Him )

starts to remove his feelings, detaching himself, tries to not let himself hurt anymore ( secretly rly wants to kill someone, wants to feel something other than numb, wants to hurt someone in revenge tbh )

firstly, if jessica jones and tom haverford had a kid, it would nora. 

her mom is septima vector, a great professor at hogwarts who retired so she could actually DO shit with her life. she thought teaching wasn’t enough and so she found a company to work at. moved up the rank and is now CEO. she’s a boss ass bitch that Nora IDOLIZES her. always wanted to grow up to be her especially after her dad ‘left’.

her dad didn’t leave, her mom is biphobic and after he came out to her she wanted a divorce. she kicked him out and now he lives in salem, he teachers there. nora’s mom told her that he just abandoned them and eventually found out realizing that everything she wanted to be was built on a pile of GARBAGE NONSENSE. 

it made her really angry and act out in school and life. she’ll help people cheat on people she’ll fuck with people, but she never is malicious about it?? mostly because celia bones has been her best friend from day one and like constantly challenged and questioned her. so LUCKILY, as many fucked up things as she has done, she’s actually a DECENT PERSON at this point in her life.

she loves celia so much and would follow her to the ends of the earth. even though she doesn’t like the war, celia gives her strength to realize that there’s something she can do about how SHE acts. she doesn’t want to fight but will fight for her friends. 

honestly would be a bully and a generally horrible person atm if she didn’t have celia on her ass.

is very guarded but loves fairytales, her father read them to her growing up and she wanted to be one of the Lost Boys in Peter Pan.

she serial watches muggle TV, her favorite show is parks and rec and she’ll just slip lines in in casual conversation. 

that’s it really i mean there’s more but the first time i tried to write this she was like NO *’ILL* INTRODUCE MYSELF 

leda is a halfblood, and so far as exposure to the muggle world goes, is fairly knowledgablet about it. she has one brother and the family spends a decent amount of time in both the magical and muggle worlds----so leda’s grown up actually interacting with muggles and knows this whole blood purity nonsense is just that, nonsense---making her a big advocate for improved muggle/wizard relations AND a member of dumbledore’s army

leda can come off as a bit vain and vapid but she’s actually very creative and witty? she just enjoys beautiful, aesthetically pleasing things in her life and will literally tear down anyone who thinks that her more ‘superficial’ tendencies somehow make her less valuable of a person.

that being said, leda loves loves loves all aspects of cosmetology and beautifying oneself. not because she feels she has to but because to her it’s an art---being able to change your looks or your hair or anything is a skill and she loves it, it’s soothing for her tbh? ANYWAY so yeah she’s into both muggle and magical methods of makeup application and hair styling etc etc.

also lemme add this gal is feminist AF!!!! so yeah if u try to drag her for being into “traditionall feminine” things she will literally !!!! open a portal to hell and swallow you whole!!! but otherwise she’s p chill and amiable just let her do her thing and she’ll let you do yours u know?

Was adopted and tbh, she doesn’t wonder MUCH about her birth family. Alex and Eiza and Varick have been her family -- and now little Rowan. She sometimes sticks out around them, but no one can deny the love that flows between them. Even though she’s white, I imagine she’s a little more woke than other cis white girl folk because she’s grown up around POC. Still, she’s got dat white privilege and wants to learn how to use everything she knows and has to help people. Hilariously, she’ll rant about this out of nowhere ( and other social issues and world issues ) and just be like, oh man?? did?? i??? enlighten you too much?? i’m sorry. with a smile and she’ll just shrug her shoulders because oops?? she can’t really take her words back LOL. 

Her family is a big thing for her, her brother custom made her wand and it really does feel like an extension of her being in so many aspects. 

Doesn’t want to be a healer though, she wants to be an Auror. Ever since she could carry a wand, which was early seeing as she was an Ollivander surrounded by them. Alice didn’t feel the magic of them as much as Alex did --  Alex taught her to really listen to the wand, and your own intuition. Over the years, she’s tirelessly worked day and night to be the best dueler she can be and enjoys dueling Lily Luna Potter like ... all the time. Her secret kink tbh. 

ANYWAYS, she wasn’t as taken with wandlore as Alex was so they put her in a lot of different activities?? But when she mentioned that she wanted to help people and when little Alice pushed someone who looked at her and her big brother funny, they thought she might have some potential in martial arts and boxing?? Which, she did and she can kick your ass REALLY EASILY in that respect. Due to Alice being so scatterbrained sometimes, and not as focused as she really could be, it’s been a struggle for her to earn her black belt in Judo so she hasn’t. Instead she volunteers at a clinic during the summer to teach young folx self defense.

Loves music so much, walks around with her headphones everywhere and has an extra pair of headphones and an extender in case someone wants to listen. 

that meme, looks like a cinnamon roll but could kill you, 100 percent applied to alice. she’s also a cinnamon roll but SHE’S SO FIERCE. I imagine a lot of people don’t see this/underestimate her because of how she acts, super bubbly, girly, and usually v loving and caring but she can be stone faced and focused with enough ambition to have landed her in slytherin. 

is much more likely to kick your ass straight up then to just verbally accost you. But does have trouble expressing ‘negative’ emotions even though she really has no reason too. Definitely a more a recent thing since the war has started brewing, she knows how well off she is, she knows how lucky she is compared to almost everyone else. Alice doesn’t have problems, it would be an insult to those with real ones.

CONNECTIONS

SEYCHELLE GABRIEL? No, that’s actually WENDY WEASLEY. Only a FIFTH YEAR, this RAVENCLAW student is sided with DUMBLEDORE’S ARMY. SHE identifies as a DEMIGIRL and is a HALFBLOOD who is notorious for being FICKLE and IMPULSIVE but also revered for being INTUITIVE and PASSIONATE.

Wendy spent the first 7 years of her life with her birth family, her mother was a muggle her dad was a wizard who worked as a vet in of sorts -- he became so obsessed with work he often neglected his family so it was always Wendy and her mum just hanging around as he traveled ( bringing them with him ) from place to place. Wendy’s mum always felt out of place and ignored and generally bad. It wasn’t until she was four that she had her first breakdown in front of Wendy but the odd part was --- Wendy felt it acutely. 

Her first signs of magic weren’t of the normal variety. At first when she pointed things out, people thought she could read minds or was a Seer, but really, her empathy went beyond the normal sort to the point where she could feel everything really deeply. The earth, random people’s emotions, everything emanated with FEELING and it was just too much. Along with her mom’s history of mental illness, her parents were worried as she got older that she’d just go insane. 

They took her to doctors and healers alike, even Unspeakables examined her and they all just said that this wasn’t an ailment really, it was just a branch of magic that she had an innate gift with that needed to be nurtured. But her her parents BOTH saw it differently and it became a huge point of contention in their household that resulted in Wendy’s mom leaving and her dad moving to Romania when she was six to study dragons. Charlie and her dad had been good friends and he thought it would be a way for him to get back on track with things, including his work. 

Unfortunately, when there was an accident with a dragon during a routine check up -- her dad was left irreparably damaged. He couldn’t move himself and needed 24/7 around the clock care. He wasn’t a vegetable but he was paralyzed & knew he couldn’t take care of his daughter anymore. Charlie decided to step in and raise this child ( bc literally she wouldn’t leave him TF alone and she didn’t have any other family ) an the STARK difference parenting wise was remarkable. Having a brother was everything she wanted ( she’d asked her parents many times to another kid ) to have as well. 

The next few years before Hogwarts, Wendy integrated into the family with a PASSION to fit in with them, to get to know each and every one of them. Unfortunately, because of her empathy, it was hard to be around them all at once and she’d have to go outside into nature or just outside to get away from people. Wendy felt an immense guilt because of it and when she broke down to Charlie about it he promised to help get her books / teachers /anything he could. She spent those years learning to control her outward reactions just as much as making a wall between herself and people’s feelings -- even if just for their own privacy & really her own sanity. 

Still, to this day, it’s a struggle. Wendy finds a lot of peace in nature, she gets a lot of energy from it too and spends a significant amount of time in the greenhouses/forbidden forrest ( lol how many detentions is she in with her brother the world may never know ) to regroup and with the war she’s finding it harder to separate. At the same time she’s very honest about shit and can be prone to Oversharing™. 

Despite all this MADNESS, she’s comfortable enough with who she is even though she knows she’s still got so much to work on and so much to do. It overwhelms her and being in the DA, she wonders if she can use her ability to help them?? While she initially didn’t want to be in the DA, after the murder of the muggleborns, she knew it was the right thing to do and now her heart is IN IT. 

dorian is the youngest son and child of kingsley and rachel shacklebolt. his sister melody was a ravenclaw and only two years older than him, and is currently completing her auror training. the shacklebolts are a very close-knit fam, and dorian’s always been proud of his father’s accomplishments and legacy, even if it places a bit of pressure on him to live up to them he’s more than happy to try.

dorian is a pretty chill guy for the most part but he’s !!!! impulsive and righteous and can be reckless af. lets put it this way: if alexander hamilton and john laurens had a kid, it would be dorian. he’s a bit loud, in your face, and not afraid to say when he thinks someone is wrong, especially if them being wrong infringes upon the rights or life of another person.

so obviously, dorian is a huge supporter and member of dumbledore’s army. he’d be one of the first to help organize missions, and one of the first to volunteer himself for them. he’s very willing to lay his life down if it means a chance that all of this will end and people will just be allowed to be who they are?

anyway but outside of the war as i said he’s a pretty easy-going guy, likes to have fun (not at other people’s expense like some of my other characters) and is super ride or die for his pals. he plays quidditch, is pretty athletic (so probably plays some muggle sports as well just not in an official capacity) and excels at charms and runes.

LETS GET DOWN TO BUSINESS: basically the dolohovs are a very well-off, very old russian family involved in the political spheres. imogen’s father is a russian minister and her mother belong to a socially active and well-connected bulgarian family, of whom she was the heiress of. imogen has one brother but make no mistake, she is the apple of her father’s eye while her brother is considered a bit more of a black sheep/failure. imogen’s mother, on the other hand, seemed to favor her brother, something imogen puts out of her mind but has never really forgotten. compounded by their mother being killed when they were young, though, imogen grew up fairly unchecked? so long as she did well in her studies and emulated her father’s beliefs she pretty much had free reign over herself, which turned her into a bit of a terror.

in terms of her relationship with her brother, it’s strained to say the least. her father recently disowned him and imogen, of course, went along with her father’s wishes and until her brother is able to prove himself to the family, considers him an abject failure, though she /says/ she wants him to prove himself (and perhaps she really does), she really does enjoy throwing the fact that she is ‘the perfect child’ in his face whenever she can.

so basically imogen is very, very proud of her heritage and family and truly believes that her talent and power derives from her lineage? she’s very much of the belief that it is her right to be here and to practice magic because of her ancestors, and that muggleborns are intruding upon the world that her family has helped to built. she sees them as leeches sort of siphoning off the magic and successes that people like her have made for the wizarding world and believes they have no right at all to be here, even if they are technically ~capable of practicing magic. in regards to other purebloods who want to allow muggleborns a place in their world, imogen considers them weak and unworthy of the gift they’ve been given, and in her opinion they’re like diseased branches infecting a tree---they need to be pruned.

personality wise imogen is calculating, aloof and detatched, lacking in empathy. she simply doesn’t see the problems or lives of people she doesn’t deem worthy as important and has no problem telling them that OR harming/killing them either to achieve her own ends or just for her own amusement. she’s been raised to be sadistic and unyielding and that combined with her spellcasting ability makes her quite dangerous. she can be stubborn and almost fanatical when she believes she’s right (which is most of the time). basically she is someone who is woefully, determinedly ignorant about the reality of things but believes she is correct, and is incredibly powerful and unafraid to force her vision of the world on other people. so, terrible, in a word.
