You look a little upset there, Fearless. First battle against the Shredder didn’t go so well?

"Well, I'm going to go ahead and take a shower," Jeremy said and awkwardly pointed at the stairs. "Will you be alright on your own for a bit?"

Jean cocked his head to the side, confusion replacing the grief and discomfort from earlier. "I... yeah?"

"Okay. I'll be back in a bit!" Jeremy called out before rushing up the stairs and out of sight.

Frozen to the spot, Jean stared at the spot where Jeremy had been for a full minute before snapping back into the present and casting a glance over his surroundings. It all seemed cold, the large space feeling empty in comparison to their room.

Jean took a deep breath, held it, and let it go slowly as he mentally went through one of Betsy's tips: instead of focusing on what wasn't there, he could focus on what was. So he filled the kettle with water from the sink and turned it on before fishing his phone out of his pocket and hitting number two on his speed-dial.

"Save me, Jean."

"I take it that the cruise is going well?" Jean said, the corner of his lip curling up into a callous grin.

"Wipe that grin off your face Moreau," Kevin hissed. His voice was barely recognizable over the phone, with a tinny tone and fuzzy quality.

"I don't know what you could mean," Jean said, forcing his voice to be as even and unaffected as possible.
