following by the "air pollution" story...
at night, middle of the night, I think, it's around 2 something in the morning,
I was supposed to go to bed, to get up in time to cook for the lunch for kids to bring to school...
I called it, "since the power outage"...
suddenly, the power outage,
I thought it's some faulty appliance again that caused the power trip, but apparently, it's the whole building...
the intercom to the front desk wasn't even working,
but shortly, I heard some knocking sound on the corridor, I supposed, the technician was there looking at things, but I didn't go up close to find out,
and shortly, the power came back...
that's the "start" of an eventful day~
and due to the power outage event, my supposed bedtime was delayed...
I've taken out a pack of chicken breasts for thawing,
and my initial intention was to grill the brussel sprout, as what we had in ippudo on the weekend, they're good!
BUT, since my bedtime was delayed, I refused to get up early enough for vege grilling (which will take a longer time than a usual stove use)...
so, in the end, since I had to use the chicken breasts...
I decided to cook the chicken with the brussel sprout, and "salt" way~
but then, I think, it's uninteresting to cook this way, the pot on stove,
I later added in some potatos, and some onions...
when I picked the kids up from school, I explained to them the "expected" version vs. the end result!
oh ya, that's when I picked the kids up in the late afternoon,
back to the morning story~
after the kids went to school, after he went to work~
so, I was at my desk, at my pc, as usual..
and when I decided to go to bed (my daytime bedtime) I went to the washroom,
I saw something beetle-like right on the drainage,
it took me a little longer to figure that's the roach!! (damn you, roach!!!!!!)
but it's the (according to him) american roach, which is slower (shh..)
I stared at it, figuring out in my head, what's next...
that moment, I remembered the spray gun that I've prepared, which contained soap water,
yes, bubbly soap water is the best (the only way) to kill a roach effectively,
and aimed, and started spraying,
the roach tried to runaway (luckily, it's no tthat usual thin and long type, shhh....), not too fast, and it ran to the corner,
to me, it's even better!!! it cornered itself,
I continued to spray, till it's petrified and till it stopped moving...
I thought I want to just leave it like this, and went to bed, (coz it's late~~~)
however, I felt a bit guilty to just leave it this way, for him to come home, after one day of tiring work, to help me get rid of the dead body of a roach,
and since it's just in the washroom, all the "gears" are there...
so, I took the water hose, aimed at it, flipped open the drainage cover,
intending to use the water to wash it down the drain,
it took me a while, with some struggling, as the water-roach-drainage path is a uturn...
however, as I sprayed soap water right?
the floor was covered with bubble,
and I have to kinda give it a wash, and give it a sweep...
again, all these delayed my bed time...
in the end, when I completed what I was supposed to do,
I got fedup, and didn't want to use the washroom anymore, went right to bed!!!
that's part 1 of the story...
so, I got up from my sleep, had my lunch,
just when I was supposed to get ready to go out to pick up the kids...
I used the toilet, for my bowel activity...
during the process, I sensed that it'll be loaded,
so, I flushed, 1st time...
while trying to clean, I sensed that, it's going to invovled quite some tissues,
bad news, the toilet's stuck!!!
I use that same water hose (the one to aim at the roach) to spray, trying to break the tissue and if there's anything more...
luckily, prior to that, I have flushed twice,
though stuck, it's not all that gross, or rather, it's not gross, just some floating tissue, and a bit of residual... very minimal...
I was trying to solve that,
but it was running late, I've to go out...
and I prep the kids in the car,
asked them not be grossed up with anything they'll come across later, when then enter the house...
I was expecting bad smell, but there wasn't,
the water had gone done, I flushed, ooh, still stuck,
I rushed the kids to their own bathroom, and forbid them from looking at what I was going to do,
I updated him over the text,
and I told them, "I'm going to battle the loo",
so, I now know how to plunge a toilet!
my maddy told me her events in school,
she said, there's this english project, where no one's sure of the deadline~
maybe this week, maybe next week, maybe next month,
she thought it's best if she goes ask the subject teacher,
"the teacher seemed to be on a bad mood, she wanted to tell, but reluctant to tell",
"the teacher said, it's definitely not this week, maybe not even next week, most likely it's next month..."
when she told me, I thought it's quite a cute and funny scenario~
I gave them wrong sandwiches,
she wanted peanut butter,
and gabby said, he wanted choc sauce,
though I swapped, her choc sauce is with unsalted butter (which is for her),
and his peanut butter is with salted butter!
I told her, it's not a "mistake", it's a concious act,
I told her, I was trying to figure out, they've told me what they want, but when I was preparing, I forgot, and was trying to figure out,
the day before, he's peanut butter, and she's cheese,
I can't remember what makes me think that, he'll want another peanut butter the following day,
but that's what I gave him...
so, last night after dinner,
she told me, once and again, she wants peanut butter, and asked me if she can have it with the choc sauce, I told her, I've no problem with that, she can have anything that goes with her sandwich!
and she told me this, "I stand by my peanut butter",
she didn't know on the previous day, the brother had the peanut butter version,
quote she, "gabby will never eat peanut butter",
but, he had it the day before~
