~electric hair~

today, i wrote about the musical hair, the 5th dimension medley of “aquarius/let the sunshine in,” and the time i found an electric version of the musical’s score featuring the moog synthesizer. this whole narrative really came full circle due to my childhood experience with musical theatre (more on that later).

these photos were taken after i washed and twisted my hair and reminded me of when i was younger and wore colorful banded ponytails all over. so much synchronized inspiration here. my mind is a maze sometimes.

i’ve collected a lot of things in my 26 years. memories, objects, ideas, identities, phases — you name it. over time, some things have been shed and left behind while others have remained.

this is my introduction to things i collected, my very own newsletter. i started this to make space for the experiences and moments i have always wanted to speak about, but haven’t quite found their place in traditional media (at least not from someone who looks like me). i wanna talk about things like my deep love for psych rock, my guilty pleasure tv shows (which to be real, is less guilt and more pleasure for me), and being a mystic all within the same platform simply because i can.

i’d say i’m pretty resourceful, but what good is all this knowledge if i don’t share it with the people? no two of us have the same lens, so i invite you to take a peek into how i see the world.
