42-: âI never thought I wanted a mate until I met you.â
Philip just about manages to come back to himself before he can bite Thomasâs neck.
The omega fits underneath him like a glove, on his hands and knees and grinding back against Philipâs wild thrusting, moaning like heâs in heat but he isnât; they just have good sex like this all the time. Itâs so good that Philip finds himself hovering above his own body for a moment and watching him breathe on Thomasâs neck, dragging his teeth over the soft pale skin, kissing it as though preparing it for a claiming bite. The omega has made it explicitly clear that he never wants to be bonded to an alpha, too afraid of being rejected and left alone, abandoning him like everyone else in his life has. At first, Thomasâs revelation hadnât concerned Philip since he didnât like the sound of having a mate either but as their relationship has gone on, the alpha has fallen in love with his pseudo-mate and found himself disappointed that their bond can never be more than skin deep. Itâs so tempting to take a bite now whilst theyâre in this position, both on all fours like their ancestors would have been when mating, but Philip canât.
Philip snaps back into his body before he can bite down, turning his oral assault into open-mouthed kisses instead. He focusses on his thrusting and on the feeling of his knot popping to banish thoughts of bonding from inside of his head, shuddering to a halt when his knot ties him with Thomas.
âOhhhh,â Thomas moans loudly, burying his face in the pillow and gripping the sheets tightly as he comes, greedily rocking himself on Philipâs knot. âPhilip.â
âYeah, baby,â Philip gasps, fighting to get his breath back. âFeel so good.â
Thomasâs knees give way beneath him and the pair slide down to the soft sheets, Philipâs body almost covering Thomasâs completely. Only the sounds of their heavy, post-orgasm breaths can be heard until Thomas breaks the silence.
âI felt you,â Thomas exhales, looking back over his shoulder. âOn my neck.â
Philip shies away in embarrassment, wondering whether this is going to be the end of their arrangement because he almost allowed himself to succumb to his needs; Thomas.
âSorry,â Philip mutters, pressing a kiss to Thomasâs shoulder blade. âIt was, uh, a momentary lapse of sanity.â
âYou were thinking about claiming me.â
It isnât a question, as though Thomas already knows the answer. The end of their relationship is in sight, Philip thinks with a flutteringly sad heart.
âUh. Yeah. I didnât though,â Philip clears his throat. âI stopped.â
âWhy?â
The alpha reels, âBecause you donât want a mate?â
âNeither do you,â Thomas retorts, his tone back to that of his casual, uptight accent as though having a conversation in the garden about his tomatoes and not with a knot in his ass underneath the smoking hot body of an alpha. He folds his arms and rests his cheek on them so that he can still see.
Philip sighs, wanting nothing more than to nuzzle the omegaâs neck and make him purr but he delves deep into his own feelings and wonders if he should just stay silent for once in his life.
Nope.
âI never thought I wanted a mate until I met you,â Philip says quietly. âI never wanted to be tied down to someone butâŠitâs different with you.â
âIâŠfeel the same,â Thomas says, twisting as best as he can so that heâs facing Philip. âI donât feel lonely when Iâm with you.â
Philip smiles, delving in for a kiss and finding that Thomas moans when their lips connect.
âI want your claim,â Thomas says, bumping his forehead against Philipâs. âPhilip Altman. I love you.â
The bite is as good as Philip dreamed it would be.
