Penelope (2006) Penelope and Annie are trying to decorate a room but have had too much caffeine. JohnnieMax and the children are watching.
The last thing Johnny expected to see when he entered Penelope and Annieâs apartment was the pair of them throwing, actually throwing, streamers across everything and anything.
âUh, hi?â he said coming inside and smiling when Penelope turned to him (because he always smiled when he saw her, he couldnât help himself).Â
âJohnny!â she shouted happily and she flew across the room to him and at the last minute he braced himself as she launched herself into his body. âYouâre here! You can reach the ceiling fans!â
âI can?â he asked (still fricking smiling, Christ, this woman) as he pressed a kiss to her upturned lips where he tasted...sugar. And cola. âHow many sodas have you had today?â
âA LOT,â Annie called out as she tried to get a green streamer to drape artfully over Vern the fern and Sheldon the spider plant. âDid you know that caffeine helps with creativity?â
âIs that what it does?â he said as he looked down at Penelope who just grinned.
âIt does,â she said firmly.
âItâs also going to cause a hell of a headache later,â he said brushing a lock of hair off her forehead.
âThatâs later,â she said. âNow I need you to help us tie the red streamers to the ceiling fan.â
âOf course, you do,â he said chuckling. âWhy not one of each color, that way it makes a rainbow when you turn it on?â
Penelope froze and gazed up at him. âOh. My. Gosh! Annie! A rainbow!â
âSold!â Annie shouted throwing an orange streamer over the chessboard.
Johnny just nodded and said, âRight. Whereâs the stepladder?â
