The next two entries in the Finnrey tarot series by the unbelievably amazing @theycallmecabbagepatch is one that fits this week’s theme perfectly. The Emperor and The Empress.
The Empress card typically represents the creation of life, romance, art, or new business. Rey sits on a throne, her black dress contrasting with the pure beam of energy - the illustration of light rising to meet darkness. She is the last Jedi, and it can be argued that her life and life path is now going to bloom - and that could include romance. The Empress also represents luxury, beauty, and abundance, and Rey is dressed to the nines, and sitting on a throne of gold. But she’s deep in contemplation, knowing that she can’t succumb to too much of a good thing. [x]
The Emperor represents power and authority, intellectual heights, determination, action, initiative and leadership. “He offers guidance, advice and wisdom to others and in doing so, demonstrates authority and grounding. His wisdom is obtained through worldly, life experience. He has ‘been there, done that’, and has the battle armour to prove it.” [x]
Finn’s determination, initiative and leadership qualities have guided his actions ever since TFA. His lightsaber thrust through Phasma’s helmet shows that he’s the one in authority now. He’s ascended, and is going to keep on rising.
