I like to think that Alex and Piper got to have their honeymoon in a utility closet offscreen after they got married like Piper had wanted.
And maybe we’ll get a flashback of it in season seven

Oh sweetie, me too!💕
Alex and Piper’s Vows: I got to be honest.
I have to say while I love Piper and Alex’s wedding and lots of tears were shed I am honestly bothered by one teensy little thing. And it doesn't change how I feel about the scene its just something that I think would’ve made the scene a thousand times better than it was. That little thing is Piper’s vows.
I do love Piper making Alex promise to get out so she can be with her and that she’ll wait for her but I think it would’ve been so much better if Piper mirrored something similar to what Alex said.
Alex pretty much apologized for all the shit that she did to Piper and promised to make it up to her. And while she’s giving Piper her vows I was kind of half expecting Piper to do the same because lets face it she does have a lot to be sorry for.
I was really wishing for Piper to bring up how she left her when her mom died, and all the other times she abandoned her, Stella *shudders*, just being an unreliable partner. Maybe Piper's vow could’ve been something along the lines of “I know I have not been the most reliable girlfriend and I left you many times in the past and you’ve forgiven me time and time again when I probably didn’t even deserve it. But starting here and now my promise is to always be there for you as your loving wife forever.” Something like that you know?
To be fair though Alex did have time to prepare so I like to think that if Piper had been given the chance she would've wrote something similar to what I said
Since Piper and Alex are married now, happy, and doing fine (despite their separation) I’m able to watch all of their scenes together, particularly the painful ones and not cringe as much (I’m looking at you season 3)because I tell myself it’ll all be worth it in the end.
I was scrolling through instagram and had to do a double take because I swear this looks like Alex and Piper. That even looks like it might be Alex’s rose tattoo on her shoulder or maybe I just got fucked up eyes. I dare to hope that this is real but on the 99 percent chance that isn’t let me just go on dreaming

Dear Vauseman fandom,
While I love this scene to death I think next time we all need to be more specific about the details when we say we want a scene of Alex and Piper in bed together
You know what I’m sayin?
What is Normal?
Piper makes a few comments throughout the series when it comes to “normal” about, what feels normal? What is normal? And I think it’s one of those tiny subtle themes in Alex and Piper’s relationship. So what is normal?
One of the best parallels in season 6 was Piper’s reaction to getting early release and her confiding in Alex about her fears. In the earlier seasons Piper was determined to get out and fix her engagement with Larry, her friendship with Polly, her family, she just had this need to get back to this sense of “normalcy” but it was a normalcy that was expected of her.
Now, a few seasons later she’s adapted to prison and everything that matters to her is on the inside. There’s nothing for her out in the real world
One of my favorite bits of dialogue between Alex and Piper this season was:
Piper: “I thought we were going to get...prison married with all of our friends and have a honeymoon in a utility closet or something”
Alex: “So now we’ll get real world married and have a honeymoon in Figi or Iceland or some where else we’ll have a miserable time...like normal people”
Piper: “I hate normal people”
Piper saying “I hate normal people” is a complete denouncement of her old life, of everything normal, of everything she should want, of everything that is expected of her. The conventional style of normal. Normal for Piper would’ve been getting married to Larry like she was supposed to, being the nice blonde lady like she was supposed to.
Season 1x11:
Alex: “Would you be up for a trip to Instanbul this weekend?”
Piper: “I thought that for a second you meant that we would go together like a vacation like normal people”
Piper being in prison and being with Alex has become her new normal or better yet “I hate normal people” could be translated as “I don’t want normal, I want you.” Wherever Alex is as long as they’re together that’s normal that’s paradise whether it’s in a prison utility closet or a beach in Fiji.
This is the same woman who basically said spooning with Alex in a cramped steel twin bed prison bunk was a close second to being on a beach in Tahiti.
Alex is Piper’s normal, everything that matters to her and now she’s leaving her behind. And their marriage and being together may not be the normal that her family expected of her or their sense of what normal is but who the fuck cares this is hers.
In season 7 I need a scene where Piper is drinking single origin coffee on the toilet in Alex’s honor
