    With narrowed eyes and an edge of hesitation, Isaac approached the      form of an unlikely ally as he lay unconscious on his couch, of all places. Isaac      wasn’t sure what possessed him to agree to the teenager’s ridiculous offer of      joining his pack, but here they were— Isaac unable to sleep for fear of waking      with a slit throat, and Ethan sleeping as if he didn’t have a care in the world.

      The contrast was startling. 

      But he had to admit it was nice having someone else take up residence in his       far-too-empty apartment. Even if that someone was one of the main players in       the death of his two best friends. Isaac knew enough about loss to know that it       changed someone— for good. This Ethan was nothing like the old Ethan. But       that didn’t mean he’d make Ethan’s transition into a full-time member of his       pack any easier. 

I think it goes without saying whether the starter is for Ethan or Aiden :D

        [ he's holding her ringdaggers carefully between slack fingers, his hands bearing the (temporary) marks of a wielder out of practice. isaac's still learning how the smooth metal bends & shapes to fit in his palms. he's still learning how to maneuver their weight with precision & ease.

        he'll learn eventually. but for now, he's seated comfortably at a local French gallery cafe -- hidden beneath the cloak of darkness. he should probably put the weapons away. but he's alone. & endlessly fascinated by allison argent's essence.

perhaps one day he'll be able to treat them like an extension of his person. perhaps one day he'll be able to live up to her example.
