The Strypes es una banda de rock and roll de Irlanda, no muy vieja ya que fue formada en el año 2010; ésta está formada por Ross Farrelly (Voz), Josh McClorey (Guitarra y coros), Pete O'Hanlon (Bajo), y Evan Walsh (Batería).
Tocan un estilo llamado Blues al estilo de los 60′s. En abril de 2012, sacaron un EP de producción propia con cuatro versiones de blues y llamado Young, Gifted & Blue. En él se encontraba la famosa versión de Bo Diddley de la canción "You can't Judge a Book by the Cover". El EP acabó siendo número 1 en iTunes Blues Chart el día después de ser publicado.
En cuanto a su música y carrera, van por buen camino y están siendo reconocidos cada vez más en lugares fuera de Irlanda (Cómo en México por ejemplo); además de haber sacado su ultimo single llamado “Behind Cosed Doors”.
Si lo que quieren hacer es escucharlos, deberían empezar con su mejor álbum (en mi opinión), Little Victories.
