I will admit that I know nothing about the lore or the like of NIANH, but I really adore Nina and Iver soooo I have a thought/question.
Birthdays? I feel like Nina would enjoy the concept of a day dedicated to oneself.
Does Iver know his? Is that a lie too, the truth of which discovered in some old file amid his father's mess?
Is aging a thing visitors have to worry about? If not does Nina have feelings about aging and Iver?

nina doesn't care much for human concepts, but upon hearing about birthday she would declare that every day is her birthday actually <3 because every day is about her
(she thinks extremely highly of herself and loves and accepts herself beyond measure, which is honestly based of her)
iver does know his! after the whole gene therapy event and the subsequent divorce his mother took him back to norway with her. he actually grew up living a fairly normal life. doesn't really do the celebrating part as he is a workaholic with a weak social circle
as for aging, this actually ties into my thoughts wrt what visitors Are, but to put it shortly here, i think visitors exist outside of the concept of aging, even if we assume that they are linearly tied to the timeline like humans (with the exception of guys like the prophet, who can apparently see into the future?)
and since nina is generally into the idea of living day to day + doesn't get Emotionally Attached to iver for quite a while + dying of old age is only a faint and abstract possibility in a world where you are no longer the top species, if she gets to worry about iver aging i don't think she does it for a very long time before he turns into a visitor anyway

I wonder how many visitors Nina has killed because they were going to take Iver.
Probably a lot at this point.
so many! so many. like i said before, she killed almost the entirety of her anatomy class for iver. perhaps there weren't so many Big Events like this, but killing off someone cheeky enough to try now and again is almost routine until word travels and visitors learn, more or less, not to mess with her
