I mean it’s a very basic / straightforward parallel. There are the surface level parallels of a Reputable Man of Science and his alter ego, a more emotion-driven, tempestuous side.

But that’s honestly??? Where the similarities end???

Like people forget Hyde is basically Jekyll’s own impulses and ‘indecent thoughts’ (Victorian puritanism, babey!) rather than like, a wholly Separate personality, and that Jekyll initially willingly transformed into Hyde to indulge himself thoroughly before he realized he girlbossed too close to the sun and could no longer control it. 

And while there is that element of Hulk(s) being aspects of Bruce that he repressed / never indulged in (repressed rage birthing the Hulk, the pleasure for pleasure’s sake aspects of Joe etc.), its not as ‘consensual’ with him as it was with Jekyll. Like sure Bruce did also girlboss by creating the Gamma Bomb but its not like he wanted to become a Walking Metaphor Monster, ya kno?

//you sent in this ask and I promptly forgot any and all other characters I have ever known ever, so I ended up googling a list to see what other folks have thought about this question.

Good food was something he had taken great enjoyment of in Elysium, but there was another aspect to eating it up here.

the  upsides  to  lounging  are  numerous  .  it's  infinitely  more  comfortable  than  standing  ,  it  allows  for  perfect  people  watching  ,  and  it's  a  wonderful  height  for  topping  off  people's  drinks  as  they  walk  by  .  truly  ,  there  is  no  downside  ,  save  for  the  fact  that  it  makes  him  more  readily  available  to  anyone  who  wants  to  speak  to  him  .  normally  he  wouldn't  have  an  issue  with  this  .  

but  it  is  the  exception  that  proves  the  rule  .  

THESEUS  saunters  over  ,  and  dionysus  can  feel  his  drunkennes  from  across  the  room  ,  something  he  delights  in  increasing  every  time  the  traitorous  king  walks  by  .  but  he  keeps  walking  towards  him  ,  bends  to  his  level  and  gets  in  his  face  as  if  to  tell  him  off  ––  dionysus  already  preparing  some  witty  comeback  ,  fanged  smirk  firmly  in  place  ––

but  someone  passes  behind  him  ,  pumping  into  the  king  ,  and  the  next  thing  dionysus  knows  ,  their  lips  are  meeting  between  them  and  theseus  is  halfway  into  his  lap  .

Dusa had been humming to herself and dusting off the newly added bust to the east corridor when she heard the clearing of a throat behind her. Halting mid-note she whirled around in surprise, feather duster almost lost in her tizzy (but luckily her serpents were better under pressure than her).
