Why no, no Ann did not even so much as read over the answers--she didn’t have to, not when she already knew what they were. With everything that she and the Chariot had endured together, what had been a casual friendship had deepened considerably, spreading its reach into both of their souls until they were bound together... and frankly? The Lovers wouldn’t have it any other way. Folding up the piece of paper carefully and tucking it into her bag for safekeeping, a hand quickly laid claim to his own, slender digits nimbly threading through his own as a contented little hum left her lips.

They’re away from the party, moonlight gleaming through trees as they meander down the edge of neat-clipped lawns toward the pond. Ben’s faintly flushed from the home-brewed wine the whole party was built to celebrate, his cheeks pink and eyes bright in a way Daryl doesn’t see much in public. They’re not in public now, really, not with everyone else at the house and them out here, but still, it’s nice. It’s comfortable. Their fingers absently threaded, arms drifting out and down again as they sway closer and further while they walk.

Ben’s waiting on him, expectant. Daryl huffs a breath and shrugs.

“Dunno. Don’t think I have one. Love songs are all kinda bullshit anyway, ain’t they? Like… proposing on stage. Real love’s private. Couple shit. Like…” He squeezes Ben’s loose-threaded fingers, shrugging again like that’ll play the impact down. “Soon as you start doin’ shit for a million people it ain’t about love anymore. It’s for attention. Ain’t ever heard a love song that felt real.”

‘Course, love hadn’t felt real to Daryl back then either. Maybe that’s part of it. Next time he hears one maybe he can expect something different. What he doesn’t expect is a lingering pause and then for Ben to start up, low and sweet. Strains of an old song, familiar. And Daryl’s heart skips, hard.

He stops walking, wide eyes moving to Ben. Singing. Under the shadows of spring leaves, soft with a ghost of a self-conscious smile but all earnest under it. The words hit, and they matter, and Daryl feels a pang of something he’s felt too often around Ben lately. Felt well before he ever should’ve, maybe.

But that’s sort’ve the whole point, isn’t it?

Daryl’s lips part, breath caught in his throat, head shaking on a vague… this isn’t happening, right? It’s ridiculous, the kind of cheesy shit that’d have his eyes rolling out of his head in a movie scene, but it’s Ben standing in front of him (with a set of actual pipes, who the hell knew), and the last thing Daryl’s thinking is cheesy. Or… maybe he is, but he doesn’t mind one damn bit.

There’s a grin curling his lips, helpless as the flush burning in his chest, and he can only handle about a verse and a half of watching, stunned still by the depth of the feeling coming at him before the warm and the bright get too much. And he’s moving, crowding in, dropping Ben’s hand to catch both his cheeks. “Shh, shit, alright.” A laugh, giddy and fluttery and hell, he doesn’t care. “You win. It’s romantic. You’re romantic.” He presses their lips together, grinning too wide for a real kiss. His face feels hot but his chest feels warmer as he breaks, leaning their foreheads together. Dragging slow fingers through Ben’s hair, murmuring: “You too, you damn sap.”

GEE MARIL, ASKIN’ THE HARD QUESTIONS.

Well I mean there’s the obvious “if it turned out he was actually a terrible person and liked hurting other people.”  That’s a big turn off for Asher.

But otherwise short of... abusing him or doing something intentionally to hurt him, it’s really hard to get Asher to walk away from someone once he’s bonded to them.  Oh!  If Thal hurt his sister or Sehn he’d be pretty pissed but I can’t say for sure if that would make him walk away from the situation.

As far as ‘faithfulness’ is concerned, as long as he feels like he’s getting an appropriate amount of attention from Thal and isn’t being neglected for booty, he’s fine with Thal sleeping with others or even dating other people.  So that wouldn’t be an issue unless he was being completely neglected or felt like Thal no longer had feelings for him.  He’d want to end things amicably in that case.  He wouldn’t want to feel like he’s burdening Thal or keeping him in a situation he no longer wants.

Almost definitely Jane. She is almost always cold, and she will either take all the blankets or snuggle up to Victor happily under them. But, since Victor often comes to bed much later than her, she will burrito into the blankets and let him fend for himself.

They check on each other quite a bit, both of them being prone to staying out late and taking some inordinate risks. Victor is slightly more likely to call Jane, however, as she is most likely to wander off somewhere unplanned.

Victor. He’s got a knack for it [or at least Jane thinks he does.] All his gifts are helpful or meaningful or simply utterly unique. It’s hard to match, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.

If you count ‘getting up’ as ‘never went to bed in the first place: Victor. He often makes breakfast. But since Jane is the most likely to sleep, she’s also the one who ‘gets up’ earliest. However she’s never been great at getting ready early int he morning, so breakfast is still Victor’s ‘job’

Probably Victor? If only because he actually knows about things. But they are both adventurous people.

Jane. Not always; in fact not even often, but she’s not had the practice that Victor’s had at not crying. Though Victor does talk to the screen more than her.

Jane? Victor doesn’t exactly have ‘taste in music’ aside from the classic punk-ish-emo-ish bands of the 90′s and early 2000′s so. Jane. Her current favorite song is about angler fish.

They’re both into ‘vulture culture’ and Jane has a ridiculous amount of books about fantasy and the supernatural, as well as multiple magical items. I’d say her things are weirder, even if she doesn’t actively collect them.

Probably Jane on a day to day basis, but Victor can be very vain. So it depends on what they’re getting ready for.

Jane, though she’s not a naturally tidy person. She’s just tidier than him.

Definitely Jane. Especially Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I don’t imagine they spend a lot of time spooning, though they are both rather tactile people. I see them more as they laying on top of each other types. In the rare event that they do spoon though Victor is usually the ‘big spoon’ and Jane the ‘little’ one

Victor. Unless it’s paintball, in which case Jane will give him a run for his money.

Between them? It’s fairly even, with Victor in a slight lead. With others? Probably Victor, but Jane has been known to get them kicked out of stores for arguing with customers.

They have a pet! Sort of. Jane brings her Pink Toed Tarantula Cee into the relationship. After than, she probably suggests some other possible pets, but those debates are for another day.

4th of July Britishness, taking trips on long weekends, camping together, researching together. They’ve only been together a year, so ‘traditions’ are just getting started. They do love to take candid photos of each other.

The only actual show I can think of is ‘Finding Bigfoot.’ and that’s mostly because Jane enjoys yelling at the idiots on the show.
