Not really familiar with either franchise but going by the designs alone I can appreciate the dissonance
Anpanman has the world record for number of characters introduced in an animated series, which means basically any Japanese voice actor has probably voiced some Anpanman char at some point, and that holds constant delights for me. Like, Agumon from Digimon is voiced by the screaming horror that is Tendonman and that is beautiful

You should also watch the OVA, Zone of the Enders 2167: Idolo, when you can. It's a prequel to both the game and Dolores, i, more so the latter.
The characters don’t look half as fun though :c

I'm just amazed how spot-on this is as a Smash Bros. clone.
It definitely draws a LOT of inspiration from Smash (mostly Melee) and other games (saw some BB and GG influences) but the thing is it’s built from the ground up with the intentions of being a platform fighter vs Smash’s intention being a party game. I think (or rather hoping) that mentality will help the devs give it a little more identity vs “Smash....but furries”!
